Ain’t gonna happen... The Senate has to convict to remove and they all know what an absolute idiot Biden is.

We've survived idiots before - Jimmy Carter for example. Biden would do less damage than Obama.

Agreed. That situation would be the absolute worst thing that could happen. Remember that the result of JFK was that Johnson got everything he wanted rubber stamped. We're still paying for it today.

That, and Plugs Biden is...perhaps not the dumbest human being on the planet....but is certainly in the top 10. I think BO picked him as a health insurance policy.

impeachment....?

Yeah, right. A democratic house will not impeach and a democratic senate would not convict. Why do these so called pundits waste time and energy on such nonsense.

A GOP prez elected in 2012...At least that is in the realm of possibility, but not very likely.

“Bill Clinton was impeached by the US House of Representatives. The US Senate failed to vote to remove him, but he was in fact impeached”

##########

Do you think that if we can get new bodies in the seats in 2010, that it can happen again this way...because I’m sure most of the Senate will not go along with it?

The problem is much bigger than Obama.

Oh, I understand that, Really, I do.

The authority to "certify the election" was delegated.

What about the authority to question the qualifications of candidates?
Do "We the people" not have standing if a candidate is going to be POTUS?

Seems to me that "We the people" should have standing.
The candidates, if elected, actions can affect us directly.

It won’t happen. Just like Huey Long, who got 51% of the Louisiana legislators to sign a letter saying they would not vote to impeach him UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, Barry is pretty much impeachment-proof in the Reid-Pelosi led Congress. If he sinks far and fast enough though,(and in view of the fact that Joe Biden is unelectable), I look for the Clintons to start leaking like mad in an effort to throw him under the bus in 2012.

An impeachable offense would be nice. Whaddya got?

Where do I start? Maybe a review of the Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution would be a good place to start. After a quick reading of that, he's failing to "Support and defend the Constitution" as stated in his oath when we talk about TARP, Auto Bailouts, Nationalized Healthcare, etc.

Almost every bit of the spending he has requested is for items specifically exempted from his authority by the Tenth Amendment.

He's trying to change our form of government from a republic to a socialist state without going through the constitutional convention process.

He's illegally fired several Inspector Generals who were doing their job by investigating his friends.

He broke the law in the Chrysler bailout in not paying off the secured bondholders as required and essentially giving their share to the union jerks.

I'm sure others will add more items, but this is a start.

If that were true then you could impeach every president we've had in the past 70 years. Sorry, disagreeing with his policies is not impeachable. As much as we'd like it to be.

And just think who’s next in line after Plugs. President Pelosi! Could you just imagine that freak with a rubber stamp congress.

Impeachment proceedings will short-circuit Obama's agenda. That, in itself, is a desirable outcome.

I have a friend who is fond of wearing tinfoil hats. He says that if you ever see BO, Biden, and Pelousy all onstage at the same time, look in the back of the room for Hillary! with an RPG launcher.

I agree. But, if impeachment won’t work, I believe that new bodies might at least be able to slow down the speed at which he’s trying to pass these bills.

I would have liked to have seen most of the presidents of the last 70 years impeached. While we're at it, I think we should get off our butts and start impeaching Federal Judges who legislate from the bench. We could also impeach legislators who propose or vote for items that they know are unconstitutional (see my tagline).

In both instances it would ensure stricter compliance with their oath of office than has happened in the past.

Actually, Richard Nixon was impeached.

About 2 weeks after Nixon resigned, the House passed Articles of Impeachment, as head sniper Peter Rodino (D-NJ) said it was "important for the record".

See that? 35 years, and the collective intelligence and thought processes of that august body have not changed nor improved one iota.

Amazing!

CA....

My fervent prayer is NO democrats elected or re-elected in 2010!! That’s how bad this administration has been so far!
There’s going to be consequences. Flyover country folks don’t like being forced to give away what is rightfully theirs!!

I would love to see him dragged out kicking and screaming, with Michelleonista the Fashion Maven, on the floor hanging onto his ankles!! ;-)

Same goes for Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Bahney Frank, Teddy Kennedy, Christopher Dodd, Henry Waxman, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein...the list goes on and on.

{{THAT would be dreamy!}}

;-)

Well Put!

Does anyone know the exact process on what it takes to remove the speaker from her position?
