It will be something bizarre. Politicians are both vice addicts and pyschiatric cases.

Very weird. --
I think so too.
Besides thinking his absence is weird, I noticed that the government was able to quickly track the location of his cellphone.

Jenny Sanford said the governor said he needed time away from their children to write something.
On Father's Day?
Very weird indeed.

His manifesto, a la the Unibomber?
Sounds like a publicity stunt-—”I went up into the mountains and came down with this vision to save the country. Send donations to SanfordSaviorPac.com”

If Mrs. Sanford is being honest here, then I would think she actually knows where he is and what’s he’s doing. Otherwise, she’d be extremely concerned. I hope all is well.

He might be setting up a situation to make the point that the governor is just an extension of the legislature. He's planted the seed that the acceptance of Fed bailout money is something he didn't sign up for (although he DID sign up for it back in April), and basically said that the governor's office was but a formal stamp for legislative acts.

I pray he is not resigning or worse... He’s been standing strong through so much crap in SC.
To: rabscuttle385
My guess is that he’s missing.

Otherwise, shed be extremely concerned. I'd like to think so, but her response certainly doesn't seem designed to quell curiosity.
If it were my husband and co-workers or family were calling me to find him, I don't think they'd be happy with that reply.

How does this make him a ‘bad’ guy??

Sanfords last known whereabouts were near Atlanta, where a mobile telephone tower picked up a signal from his phone, authorities said. Anybody check the notorious Cheetah Lounge (a fave of Southern politicians)?

Why haven’t we heard anything about this on the national news? You would think a missing governor would be big news.
