McConnell won the AG election against Deeds by the skin of his teeth, and Virginia has blued considerably since then. I think this one’s a lost cause for McConnell.

It's McDonnell...not McConnell. And he beat Deeds in the same election that saw the Republican Jerry Kilgore lose to Tim Kaine. Bob McDonnell is an EXCELLENT candidate and is about as fine a man as we've ever fielded. He's the real deal and deserves the strong support of Republicans and other conservatives in this election.

And BTW...how are we ever going to become winners again if we all pee our pants and give up every time there's an unfavorable poll published? McDonnell has been leading in every poll against all comers until this poll. Don't give up YET people!

What exactly is a ‘Pat Robertson type’? Is it a family values, common sense conservative who believes in God and loves his family and his country? If so, McDonnell is guilty as charged. Is it a Protestant Evangelical Christian? McDonnell is Catholic but shares the same cultural values that most Evangelicals share.

Pat Robertson's lookig pretty good compared to Obama at the moment. Pat's not laying off people and shutting down car dealerships, or throwing away $3 trillion.

You'll find that even in Northern Virginia economic distress is sufficient to make people less fearful of Holy Rollers than of Holy Terrors running the government.
