I understand that, but they are UAW plants and many of don't want to patronize the UAW either. That leaves us with foreign built Fords or transplants.
And I'm not putting down the Mexican plants either. I've heard good things about the Fusion.

This Texan will not buy another GMC, Ford, or Chrysler product truck. They’re junk, and candy coating it won’t sway anyone.

Anyone who buys a vehicle made with any UAW involvement, including Ford, is an idiot.
They were second hand - like a lot of stuff we take at face value : about working the line, having to get a repetitive job done in X amount of time, the noise, the heat -and sometimes the cold. Getting laid off every few months-that sort of thing.
Those UAW thugs continue to strip tax money from us and into their pockets. Of course the Chicago crook, Obama, will get his cut too, you can be sure.
Yes, my son-in-law builds them in Kansas City. I think the others are out of Michigan Truck.
Where do you get your facts? My husband spent 28 years at Ford, and I have a son-in-law who still works there. I bet you never even set foot in a plant or office at Ford. I lived in Dearborn for a total of 12 years. There is a huge Muslim population there, but not many work at Ford.
