No. Once your strawman left the building, he ceased to be a threat.

Yes. We know where you stand now. Unfortunately, it's not with the real victim... the guy who defended his business.

Worse than that, the pharmacist actually took a bullet to the hand before he was able to return fire.

Doesn't stop some of the "liberal at heart" from rushing to the scumbag robbers defense apparently.

Manslaughter for self-defense after you have been shot at.

Get a clue.

Once you go into sotre with ski-mask and a gun and threaten people, you forfeit your right to live.

What is so hard to understand?

The guy should be given a medal.

This is gross miscarriage of justice which I hope is remedied quickly.

And run that DA out of town.

Please, if he is found to have done no wrong than good for him. I have said in this thread that I’m glad he was there to stop the robbery and prevent the loss of innocent life. A full accounting that another life wasn’t needlessly killed isn’t a bad thing.

YOU CANNOT SEE THE PERP!

Wow! You've gone from "I read his mind, he executed him" to "manslaughter" to "mitigating facts, lesser charge" back to "no self defense, execution" to "he should have reasoned with him and held him at gunpoint" to "now you're glad he was there".

I'm dizzy and have to move on before I lose another 20 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.

To charge a disabled veteran that has been to years of college to become a pharmacist because of this piece of scum (the dead robber), is an outrage. If the robbers were white, the story would have ended when it happened. It is only because the robber is black and has rights. White people have no rights because we are all racists according to the liberal view that is so prevailant in our society. Forget the fact that this piece of dog crap was the one that helped initiate the violence in the first place. I know that by law you only shoot to stop the action. What says the young juvenile delinquent was not laying on the floor wounded and gesturing with a weapon or gesturing to go for a weapon in his pocket? The video does not show what the suspect is doing. Not enough info as of yet. Anyway, I pray that the pharmacist is found not guilty. According to our present system we can only be judged by a jury of our peers. If the judge is black or any of these jurors is black or the jurors do not support the 2nd ammendment, then it is a mistrial because the pharmacist will not get a fair trial. The DA needs to let this one drop based on this premise alone. Also, a case like this could tear apart the community.

It could tear apart the community either way you go with it. Apparently there have already been people protesting outside his pharmacy calling him a racist. The important thing is to have a full and accurate picture of what happened. Ultimately in the end some group won’t be happy with the outcome.

I think it would be an impressive job of either prosecuting or jury picking for the DA to get a conviction in this case. Especially if the robber had a weapon actually on him.

For comparison, my 10mm

Oh yeah well I'll put my .45 against your wimpy 10mm any day... Hmmm just why did most agencies drop the 10mm back in the 80's... probably because the old Miami Vice series went off the air ;-)

Bullet size and generating heavy ft/lbs of force does not necessarily equal more damage. for stopping power, I will put some of my old .38 handloads against your 10mm any day of the week...

During the 70's era, air marshals used .38's topped with a reversed pressed 148gr bevel based bullet and a reduced powder load, basically a low velocity hollow point you can stick your pinky into, its one of the most devastating rounds I have used... No matter where it hits the damage is pretty much incapacitating.

Point is, just because its a bigger bullet with a larger powder load does not necessarily make it a better stopping round. I have used a EAA .380 for years (mainly for concealment) and I have no problem continuing to depend on one, Although in a pinch I still hold with the old bullet mass reasoning... why do you carry a .45? Because they don't make a .46 ;-)

Few stories make me angry like this one does.

Death to a ski-mask wearing, gun-toting thug is JUSTICE!

That should be the first thing they teach in every law school in this land, but sadly our justice system is perverted and protects thhose who would wantonly kill.

Wow. After 4 years here, I’m a troll because I think his actions deserve a full on the record accounting.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt is simply friggin foolish!

I'm not saying the store owner should not have killed him. What I'm saying is that, for legal purposes, the reason the perp was shot and killed was to "stop the threat." Never tell anyone your purpose was to shoot to kill, even if it was.

Standard .45 ACP 230gr moving at 830fps only generates 432ft/lbs.

Wimpy?

The wound channel profile and energy transfer via hydro-shock in the 10mm is very similar, but more devastating, than the .357 magnum. Again, based of the .38 Special.

Penetration is also equal between the .357 and the 10mm without having to worry so much about over penetration you get with the .41 Mag on up.

The only reason I don't carry a .50 AE is because it's too darn big. Ammo capacity removes the .454, the .460, and the .500 S&W from contention. 7+1 is my minimum requirement.

We can argue tissue damage, systemic shock, mechanical damage, etc... until the cows come home. The science isn't exactly set in stone.

The science isn't exactly set in stone.

My point exactly, there are many variables... weapon used, ammo used, engagement distance, training, etc.

While shooting a .22 Ruger Mk II BBL, a friend said "don't know why they even make these you can't kill anyone with it", I said, if the first shot doesn't get you... the other nine will.
