I make it an automatic rule to believe any “sea story” that anyone tells me about the Philippines—no matter how far-fetched it sounds. It’s probably true, no matter how implausible. That place was something else.
I have a good tolerance for liquor—but mojo is a bad moon risin’ waiting to happen. Mix up a batch before the next church potluck and bring it in

Here’s one more mojo recipe I forgot to put in, for all you gourmets out there. This was from my favorite hangout in Olongapo, the FTN (no offense-that was it’s name) Mojo Bar. They had a mural on one wall-a pitcher of Mojo with eyes and a evil smile—like Kool-Aid’s evil twin—saying:
“MOJO MAKES ME SMART!”
Good times.
16-24 oz Vodka
16 oz Rum (half dark and half 151)
8 oz Cherry Brandy
12 oz. Hawaiian Punch
12 oz Orange Soda
10-12 oz beer pref- San Miguel Beer
12 oz 7 Up
