What kind of crowd estimates are there for the protest?

Liberty vs. tyranny! That was the question at America's founding, and the Founders' decision was for liberty. It was expressed in the founding documents and in their writings.

The underlying principle at the heart of America's constitutional protections, according to Thomas Jefferson, is declared in these words:

"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."

Life and liberty, therefore, once "endowed" by the "Creator," are inseparable and "unalienable." Thus, the first claim asserted by America's Founders was to an inherent, "Creator-endowed," unalienable and inseparable right to life and liberty which is prior to the right of any other being's determination (including the woman whose body houses the developing child).

If rights came to us by "grants" from individuals or collections of individuals (judges, legislators, or the executive branch), then the consequence of that idea would be that those rights would be "alienable"--an idea in opposition to the Declaration and the Constitution's goal of securing the "Blessings of Liberty."

Hopefully, more and more Americans will come to realize that "ideas have consequences." In the society, once the concept is accepted that life and liberty are not inherent and derived from the Creator, but by permission (grant) of individuals or government, then no person's life and liberty is secure at any point.

The question being highlighted by today's events at Notre Dame is crucial to the preservation of liberty for all citizens--not just those in the womb.

one of the most important things about this protest does not even involve Notre Dame.....it is the fact that Catholics...the laypeople, the priests and the Bishops have all stood up to Obama......this WILL impact his agenda for abortion.......he will have to think twice before forcing Catholic hospitals, doctors and nurses to perform abortions.....there could be some very active protesting of that agenda should he continue down that dark road.

My apologies for the size of this post but it seemed like an appropriate place for it today.

Abortion is not about saving women’s lives!

Studies Find Abortions Have Long-Term Effects

An Unexpected Correlation: The Legacy of Abortion

Study: Previous Abortions Linked With Pre-Term Birth and Cerebral Palsy

American Psychological Association Ignores Abortion-Depression Link

Study finds depression suffered by 80% of women who abort

Post-Abortion Counselor Confirms Abortions Cause Women Mental Health Issues

Spanish Medical Expert: Damage to Women Caused by Abortion is Scientifically Proven

48,589,993

Total Abortions since 1973

------------------------------------------------------------

Why the drop after 1960? (in deaths of women from illegal abortions)

The reasons were new and better antibiotics, better surgery and the establishment of intensive care units in hospitals. This was in the face of a rising population. Between 1967 and 1970 sixteen states legalized abortion. In most it was limited, only for rape, incest and severe fetal handicap (life of mother was legal in all states). There were two big exceptions — California in 1967, and New York in 1970 allowed abortion on demand. Now look at the chart carefully.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Abortion Statistics - Decision to Have an Abortion (U.S.)

· 25.5% of women deciding to have an abortion want to postpone childbearing

· 21.3% of women cannot afford a baby

· 14.1% of women have a relationship issue or their partner does not want a child

· 12.2% of women are too young (their parents or others object to the pregnancy)

· 10.8% of women feel a child will disrupt their education or career

· 7.9% of women want no (more) children

· 3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health

2.8% of women have an abortion due to a risk to maternal health

----------------------------------------------------------------------

So how many women’s lives have been saved by abortion?

Only about 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be “due to a risk to maternal health.” A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But let’s say they did. That means that nearly 45 million fetuses were butchered to save the lives of about 1.3 million women. Or put another way; 35 babies are killed to save each woman.

Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman.

I was appalled at Geraldo last night on foxnews. Geraldo who totally supported Bill Clinton and his affairs as his personal business (which they were until he lied under oath) and said Clinton was a great president. Geraldo who has hadat least 3 wives and a few children and had affairs on all of them. Maybe not the newest one. I don’t know. Give him time.

He is asking a Catholic why they are protesting, the catholic says something like, we are Catholic, when we see murder we are to be outraged. Geraldo goes, I am Catholic, I am not there.

Those are not the exact words. Being Christian we are not to be a stumbling block for others. Geraldo does not seem to be someone who should be speaking out for Catholic’s. In fact it seemed as if he was saying anyone protesting was wrong. That was my take anyway.

Then the red haired student this morning at Notre Dame seemed to say unless you are Catholic all the protesting was being done for political purposes. Then the fox news reporter said the Pope had sent several messages of congratulations to Obama. As if that meant obama’s policies are okay with him. Which I think was totally misleading.

Then Keyes spoke this morning. He mentioned the infanticide and he spoke about his position on Notre Dame. I was impressed and proud of him. We live in a era of people afraid to stand up for their values and Keyes walked the walk.

I guess my point in all of this is, it appears that liberals are everywhere now. They are disputing the idea of Notre Dame being bound by Catholic principles. They won too. Obama is there.

I heard Michelle Obama recieved a Rock star welcome at the valley UC. But they are about $500,000.00 in debt over her coming. No one was willing to donate to pay the whole $700,000.00 total at a time the UC just raised fees another 10%.

He is such a liar...
He said “no one religion, etc., can cure the ills of the world......”

That is not true.

Christ is all in all AND all we need.

Obama is no Christian. He tried to give a weak and slick semi-testimony.....gross.

What a liar.

Where is the fortitude and courage of these students?

Can they no longer think?

I am so disappointed.

“The ultimate irony of faith is that it admits doubt..”
NO.

Faith Believes, you liar....

Why is he talking about FAITH?

WHO made him preacher to the world..

WHAT ABOMINATION!!!!!!

I hope I haven’t had permanent damage from listening to this ****
