Yeah, but getting on an airplane and renting a car are privileges, not rights. I understand your motivation, but the two are not equivalent.

I’m guessing many people voted more than once. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that dogs, cats, and plants might have voted also - for obama, of course. (My cats wouldn’t be allowed to vote, since they’re Republicans.)

I’d kind of like to go back to the way voting use to be.
Ya have to be a landowner to vote.
And no females.

Disgusting and insulting. It is, every time this issue comes up. Disgusting because it prevents open and fair elections. Insulting to EVERYONE, but especially to blacks and other minorities, who THESE TWO ORGANIZATIONS think and put laws in effect that promote the idea, that blacks and minorities are too stupid, too underprivileged, too simple, too whatever, to get themselves an photo id, when it is so easy for anyone to do.
That is the premise they use, and in so doing, they hide the reason they are against id's at voting, (or so they think) which is to allow prisoners, felons, and illegals to vote, and for people to vote early and often!

Governor Suntan is probably going to fold, since he is a big fan of Hussein and the Voter Fraud Machine. He always looks like he OD'ed on Coppertone, doesn't he. I think he takes it internally.....chugs the stuff by the gallon.

Those would be RICH people - poor people can’t fly.. or rent a car... (It’s amazing how many poor people ARE on the planes - you can tell they are pool because of their manners!)
I am PROUD to show I am a citizen and who I say I am when I vote! Why wouldn’t anyone else be?

Yeah, but getting on an airplane and renting a car are privileges, not rights. I understand your motivation, but the two are not equivalent.
That’s interesting.
Getting on an airplane isn’t a “God-given right,” and it’s not specifically protected under the Constitution, but being able to participate in the flight on the same basis as everyone else I think is considered to be a right. And the purpose of the ID check is to ensure safety. That’s essentially the same idea behind voter ID.
In any case, I’m all for the ID requiement. But I have to say it would be hard to justify asking voters to show some ID when the candidate doesn’t have to - oh, for example, show proof that he’s qualified to hold office! This is where the real reform needs to happen.
