THANK YOU EVERYONE!
I think what has happened is that we’ve picked off the big, easy to find ones, and the small, backwoods ones are left. There may be a significant number of them yet to count, but my guess is they will be small numbers compared to the big-city numbers we’ve got already.
How about getting this thread bumped to Breaking News?
Encourage smaller events to be tallied as well.

Hyannis, MA - bump attendance to 600 - newspaper article
I'm sure glad that you too are still digging out the real numbers. I'm still at it, and I've got over 700K on my speadsheet...
We have some considerable differences in our numbers, and I'll pass these on here later. One for now, Montgomery, AL sat on your and my list at only 500 - and most surprisingly, no one on this update thread has challenged that - but the real number is somewhere between 2500, to 3500 - I picked 3000 because many thought it was 'much more than that.' (See this link ) - and, check the local news via google (use mongomery, alabama plus tea party ) - doing that on other mid-sized towns reveals much that has not been reported elsewhere.
More later - I've just too little time to get things done today. But tomorrow, I'll let everyone here know more about what I've found! (probably late in the day)
(This has taken FAR more time than I thought it would - but the rewards are there. On big thing that it proves, not a soul in the media was really interested, or they would have found out that over a million people were out there on the streets. They all have Lexis Nexis at their fingertips, and that's far better than google or yahoo ever will be.)
Oh, the waterboys in the MSM were interested, they were just interested in making sure nobody heard about it.
Our efforts this time will force them to report next time, and there will be a next time.
Beeville, TX—200 people
“During the almost two hours that the crowd heard speeches that morning, people came and went, resulting in a turnout that probably surpassed 200.”
Athens, TX— “more than 300 people”

We also have Trussville, AL way low. Should be 1500 people.

April 19, 2009 — Television stations across Birmingham reported only a few hundred people showed up for Wednesday’s Trussville Tax Day Tea Party.
Their numbers were a gross underestimate of the crowd that came out on the Mall in downtown Trussville according to event organizers.
Ken McKibben, who also helped organize the tea party, said more than 1000 hot dogs were served. McKibben also said more than 1,000 cups were used at the event and more than 900 people signed up to receive emails and updates for possible future events.
“Our early estimates were 1,000 people, but we have since revised that to be more than 1,500 people”

THANK YOU EVERYONE!
Per this article we have Birmingham low.
Birmingham, AL -- Veterans Park 5,000-7000
"Id estimate that around 7,000 people were there. As people were coming and going throughout the event, total attendance was even higher."
" "As to be expected, the Birmingham News under-reported participation. At Hoovers Veterans Park, police directed traffic as several hundred people gathered for one of more than a dozen rallies in Alabama and more than 500 around the country, they wrote.

I left out the last part in of that relevant quote for the Montgomery, AL protest (post #338).
“Later, they updated their report to say: Hoover Mayor Tony Petelos estimates the Tea Party rally at Veterans Park drew at least 5,000 people on Wednesday.”
#339 that is Birmingham not Montgomery!
