whoa! that’s not cool!
I wasn’t able to come after all...the girlfriend went to the doctor earlier in the day and was pretty sick, so I decided to run around, get her meds, and take care of her...but I was there in spirit!

The world needs older kooky folks too. The sign reads "Hello world do not believe marxist lies The U.S. is and will always be a Christian Nation". (All caps)
I call him kooky solely due to the use of a dry erase board. It kept getting smudged and he was forced to constantly clean it up.

And don't forget the younger kooks. I really digged his shirt, until I realized he and his buddy were 9/11 Truthers.

I was on a bike, so I could not gain entrance to Jones Plaza. Mobs of folks got there after me and got in line. And then more people, until the line went around the corner. And this was the back entrance! All these folks coming to the event so late, what gives? Then I realized: It's because they work for a living.
Lots of hot chicks, too, not that I, as a married man, noticed that kind of thing.
The funniest thing I saw was a pile of police horse poop in the street. Someone had stuck a sign in the poop that said something like "Obama's fiscal policy". It was funny. Sadly, my batteries died at that point, so no more photos.

WOW! That looks like it was fun.

Thanks for the pics! Wish I could've met you, but the crowd was unbelievable! I was volunteering with the overflow crowd, so I was on the sidewalk the whole time. The people were AWESOME! No one was upset about not getting inside. Everyone was just happy to be there. The police were awesome.
They did haul off one guy, even though I didn't think he was causing any trouble. He was sitting on his bike with a cardboard sign about Fox news. I walked up because a reported decided to interview him. The sidewalk was crammed, and the police man told him to move. He didn't think he was doing anything wrong. I heard a few minutes later they took him off.
With the coming and going of people, there had to have been over 6,000 people there. Did you stay for the march around the Houston Chronicle at 7:45? There were still enough at the rally that we couldn't fit all the marchers around the building (which takes up a full square block). It was INCREDIBLE! I'll post some of my pics.

No, I left shortly after John O'Neil spoke.
Drove back to Seabrook via Nasa Rd 1.
The Tea Party at Clear Lake Park was huge also.
Yes, the crowd was great.
It's a good feeling to know you are not the only Right-Wing Radical that feels our government is too repressive while redistributing my measly wealth.

Looks like most (but not all) of the public had to “surrender” their sticks from their signs.
Was there much of this sort of restriction at earlier rallies (regardless of the group)?

Maybe, but I have not heard of this. Hope this is the beginning of more protests. I do not want my hard earned money to go to bail out companies or to assist illegal aliens.

Have the 9-11 truther even looked at how Louis Freeh and Jamie Gorelick happened to be at the center of TWO American “disasters” that were both clearly man-made?

I heard about it on Walton & Johnson as I was scanning the dial this morning.
A Marine (who was wearing a Marines’ t-shirt at the rally) said he bought a Don’t Tread On Me flag at the rally and then as he stepped out of a portolet was instructed to surrender the pole that came with the flag he bought at the rally. She made it clear that she was willing and looking for an excuse to call for backup so he didn’t argue the point.
He said that he saw other flagpoles there.
But I see quite a few signs in those photos that have tape marks or other “tears” where posts have clearly been removed (and the people have to hold them up with both hands, much lower than they would have been had they had their posts).
