Hey, folks another quarter, another Freepathon.

I wanted to tell everyone about a conservation that happened recently on FR's Yahoo forum. Someone posted a thread with began with "Is legitimate dissent allowed in this forum?" This egghead then preceded to question FR's "devotion to democracy" as though somehow if we don't allow someone to come in and throw kisses to Hussien that somehow we're not "prizewinning democracy".

Let me say a few things that are right that were said in this conservation. First off this is NOT a taxpayer run website, this is a privately run website. We are all guests in this living room and posting here is indeed a privilege, NOT a right.

Secondly, to somehow imply that opposing the social and political policies of the Obama Administration and the Democrats is some how malicious and threatening is dumb, stupid, idiotic and moronic. There is absolutely nothing malicious or threatening about what people are saying about Obama and the Democrats and their agenda for this country and to say otherwise is dumb, stupid and idiotic.

Nobody is forcing you to come to FR and read these posts if you don't want to, but whether anyone likes it being said or not we as conservatives do have the right under the first amendment to speak out in opposition to the social and political agenda of the Obama administration and anyone who has a problem with that needs to go pack their bags and fly off somewhere to another part of the world where they'd be much more happier.

There are far better and more productive ways to live your life than to go and look for something to be offended and try to shut it down.

Third, the founding fathers were indeed very stubborn about not only demanding that people recognize the right of free speech but also that they didn't tolerate "open debate" This is what's called freedom of association. The right to associate with like minded people.

And finally one more thing too. I have no use whatsoever for anyone who calls those opposed to any part of Obama or the Dem's social and political agenda psychopaths or hate mongers or racists.

Now, FR as I stated is a privately owned website. It's not funded by taxpayers, it's funded by it's readers. Conservatives have the opportunity to address issues of public importance as well as the chance to make and grow friendships. With your support of FR, this tradition will continue.

With so much at stake now more than ever, We need FR.

If you cannot make a donation to FR, then by all means stop and bump this thread so those who can donate will know what's going on. Any donation no matter how large or small it may be will help us to keep FR running so that we as conservatives can continue to blow the whistle on Obama and the Democrats and their enormously harmful social and political agenda which they wish to impose on this country.
