Much like my idol Milton Friedman, Sowell does a great job of using analogies to make the abstract and complicated world of economics and politics simple.
It really is simple. Politicians and Economists have no idea what they are talking about. It’s all a behavioral science guessing game.
The difference is that conservatives like us understand that our fellow citizens in Gubmint are as retarded and flawed as we are. Liberals and leftists put all their faith and trust in them and want to give them more power over them.
Yet another lawyer with tired leftist views, old to America as “Change”. That has got to be one of the greatist marketing coups in world history.
I don’t suppose we’ll get lucky and his 12 traveling teleprompters won’t work on the UK electrical system... I’m curious, did George Bush travel with teleprompters? TWELVE teleprompters?

I agree that the world is more complicated and that communications work faster than in the 1860s. (Although the telegraph was in wide use, and it operates at the speed of light, just like modern types.)
I disagree that trickery is more likely or possible than then.
I’m also unclear on why these facts make a resume with executive experience more needed today.
