I saw the banner running underneath the main presentation on CNN T/V. It took a scant few seconds; to the effect that a legislator was to question the eligibility of any future presidential candidate. Things are looking up.

On the logical side and indeed one which should hardly call for the anti-"tinfoil hat" group to throw a hissy fit, this could be offered.

What of a dozen fringe candidates who are on the presidential ballot? Surely some check must be in order. For even if they do not stand a chance in Hades, they could distort the actual result. Simply put, persons with a genuine vote would be deprived of their choice, if it was one of a ineligible person.
