Well according to his claims of the past “it’s time for change”. Seems he’s trying his best to make change and if it comes in large enough doses hopefully the public will get a gut full. We’ll see I guess.

I don’t think he was caught off guard. He is the LEADER of the RNC! He knows Rush is in the media spotlight at this time...and he knows what Rush believes and what Rush said.....Steele should have supported Rush’s comments with no questions asked. To be an unapologetic conservative is the way to lead...

Okay, in (some) fairness to Steele, I had not heard or read any of the interview other than the part that pertained to Rush. The poor guy was dealing with a couple of knuckleheads. I don't like what he said about Rush or the way he said it, but it's obvious they weren't going to listen to anything he said at all had he not agreed with them even a smidgen. I'm not excusing it at all. Just saying I may be willing to give him a second chance, which is more than they will give him since he has now apologized to Rush. In fact, they'll probably try to destroy him. That said, now is not the time to be speaking out both sides of his mouth. There is too much at stake.
