Over a year out until the primary but interesting early indications if continue will make for a nasty race if both are in the primary.

I don’t know that she would be an improvement.

She has definite RINO tendencies - although she’s certainly not a sellout like some other Pubs.

Lordy, what an awful indictment of the modern GOP.

The Democrats want Perry out so bad they’re trying to get KBH in.
They figured it worked so well with McLame.

KBH is another McLame.
Lamer on border issues then Perry.
For abortion.

Forget about it. It’s McLame all over again.

They push who THEY want on us.

People love KBH because they don’t know much about her. She will be a rung lower for conservative GOP. Texas doesn’t need her but we may get her.

He thinks it would be hard for anybody to beat her? NO.

It’s just that, running against Perry, she really has no opposition.

We can do better.

I was at the pro-life lobby day yesterday in Austin and we would be hard-pressed to get a more pro-life governor, lt. governor and AG in Texas than what we have now. I think a lot of people don’t know yet that KBH is pro-choice. I didn’t until last week, and I feel I am fairly informed. Those numbers will swing toward Perry when more information comes out about how KBH has been voting.

I just read here that she voted for Card Check and Texas is a right-to-work state, no unions and nobody wants them here. So if they get a whiff that she’s pro union, she’ll be done.

Yes it is. KBH is a walking, talking disaster and Gov Good Hair isn't much better. It's a Loser photo finish.

This will be a high dollar race if they both stay in. KBH is bringing together her organization bit by bit it seems.

http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/politics/entries/2009/02/23/former_perry_adviser_signing_o.html

U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison R-Texas, has enlisted the political director of the Republican Party of Texas as her gubernatorial campaign’s communications director. Hans Klingler is expected to leave the party and join her Austin-based campaign in March.

Over the weekend in North Texas:

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison was a guest speaker at the Denton County Lincoln/Reagan Day Dinner at the Hyatt Regency DFW on Saturday, while Rick Perry spoke a day earlier at the Collin County counterpart in Frisco.

Their appearances were supposed to be a harbinger of things to come.

The 2010 primary is “going to be wild,” WBAP’s conservative talk show host Mark Davis, master of ceremonies for both events, told Denton County Republicans, referring to the 2010 governor’s race. “It’s just going to be wild.”

KBH is pro-choice.

If a politician doesn’t care enough
to save the life of an unborn baby,
what makes you think they care about you?

KBH is pro-choice.

That maybe but look for her to have her two adopted children on the stump with her if that becomes a major issue. jmo.

I know, it's hard to believe this is the best we can do. Perry does not keep his word and Kay Bay is, well, Kay Bay. The only good news is the gov has very little power. The bad news is I don't want either one of them to be the face of the GOP in Texas.

Some have speculated she might change parties and run as a Democrat. Thoughts?

I don't like him but will vote for him over her.

Most Repubs I know have said they will hold their nose and vote for him.

If she’s governor, we can kiss any ideas of secession good-bye. She’s been in bed with those criminals in Washington for so long, we’d never be able to cut ties. And maybe that’s Obama’s plan. He’s sent her down to secure Texas as a blue state in 2012.

Be vigilant.

Speculation is what that is imo. Why would she if she continues to have to polls on her side. She has the funding so no problem there and has name recognition. It will be a Hutchison/Perry primary imo.
