Dramatics are for Hollywood, this is the real deal. Why does the media ignore our marches? Why does the media lie about opposition to the stimulus bill? They know the culmination of ignoring the people will push them to revolt.

Rush won't, Hannity might. What many have suggested doing it with Ted and others might work better. Most of the country is for the 2nd and it is a good rallying spot.
Will make sense and garner support of many in the country and the opposition can build from there.

What the Fairness Doctrine is about is freedom of speech. That was put just before the 2nd for a reason. If you aren't armed you can speak free, so the two go hand in hand.

If Rush shows up, if Hannity shows up, if Conservative leaders show up, THEYLL HAVE TO COVER IT. No one showed up from Fox for our Support the Troops marches but Michelle Malkin and she was fired from her position at FOX within a few months. They never covered it but a few seconds,,just to say they did. Think about it.

Most marches these days are for left-wing causes, and they are only successful depending on how much media coverage they get. It is my opinion that the media wouldn't cover any sort of conservative protest, unless they can make us look like wackos, and so the only way we could guarantee that we get people's attention would be to do something much more aggressive.
The Boston Tea Party had patriots seizing as-yet-unsold tea and dumping it into the harbor so it couldn't be bought, and therefore couldn't be taxed. That hurt the British and made it impossible for them to ignore the act. It was also, of course, highly illegal, and therefore risky to the protetors. We would have to do something similar, so that they couldn't ignore it even if they wanted to. Anything else would probably be a waste of time. Exactly what kind of thing we should do would require some serious thought.

This was my suggestion. I think that if you start small and offer the Thune proposal as an alternative, no one would disagree.
I think that the best way to fight this is with grass roots protests, start by posting on local newspapers websites. Ask the posters if they are benefiting personally from the Obama spending bill and which they would rather have the Obama bill or the Thune proposal of $5,143 per tax filer, twice that per family, for everyone making less $250,000. We should start small and aim for a big protest march on DC in a month or two. Even if the bill passes, Democrats will be finished if we just keep the pressure on.

I disagree...we are now the opposition..it makes good copy. And about Rush. Anyone remember Dan’s Bake sale? He just talked about it and within no time there was something like 100,000 people showing up. How do I know that? I was there.

If we fight CW2 we have to fight smart, not bloody. Get together groups of hackers and bring down moveon.org and DU. Find ways to disrupt the finances of Soros and Buffett. Knock out the electricity and aqueducts to LA in the middle of the summer. Don't all gather in one place so they can round you up. Cause millions of little acts of sabotage all over the country. Find a way to cause thousands of fraudulent credit card donations to the Democrats so that they will no longer be able to accept them.
The reason we survived 9/11 was that there was no follow up. Thanks in large part to GW. But also thanks to our enemy putting vast amounts of resources into a single massive attack. Sure it was shocking, but it just rallied us against them. Now if instead they had just wrecked out economy and kept it wrecked for eight years, the we would almost certainly have to capitulate. The other advantage with annoyance attacks is there are no martyrs to avenge.
Some of the stuff might seem juvenile, like egging the homes of IRS employees, but over time people won't want to put up with it and quit working for Obama. If there is a wolf in your yard you shoot it. If there are millions of mosquitoes in your yard, you abandon it and go inside.

The only two reasons I couldn’t think of not paying my taxes are 1) our military!!!! and 2) what Christ said about giving to Ceasar...

I'd like to find a way to make Congress and the federal government pay for this spending monstrosity - literally. I want them to cut the budget by $1.00 for every dollar in the spending bill. That will require HUGE cuts - whole departments.
Though there is probably no way we can overcome their margin of victory, perhaps we can find a legislator who can at least make the demands.

The pro-lifers turn out by the hundreds of thousands in Washington every January. It isnt even in the news.
I beg to differ. It was on page 12 of the Los Angeles Times, in the lower right-hand corner. At least two paragraphs.

Rush retold that story about a year ago, and he said that Dan’s Bake Sale baked goods sold out in 4 minutes. Dan baked as much as he could and others pitched in.

If you did decide not to, this might make you feel better about your two concerns:
1. If you want to support the military, there are other more direct ways to do it rather than giving the gubmint your tax dollars...which goes to countless other programs that are wasteful and perhaps, even sinful.
2. In Matt. 28:18, Jesus also said “All authority in heaven and in earth has been given to me.” I firmly believe that, when man’s laws are in conflict with God’s laws, we err on the side of God’s law. And since our taxes are being used to fund terrorists and abortions, we have every right to withhold. Submission to authority in the Bible is often taken out of context—it is often being written specifically to Christians regarding leaders of their churches. What Jesus said about taxes meant that you should give Caesar what belongs to him. Render unto God what is God’s...that was the other part of that quote. Well, it’s all God’s—and Jesus knew that. Everything on earth is under His authority—money, too. Was it a riddle and we just don’t get it?
When my government is acting outside of God’s law, I can justify withholding. They are trying to bankrupt our children and destroy our country with this stimulus package. Waking them up by not paying our taxes in large numbers might just be the ticket.
It’s a very big personal decision...and a risky one in today’s political climate. But, our Treasury Secretary is a tax cheat, so I don’t really see what the big deal is.
