If you go to Collins website and email her via the form on the web page it will go through. I received a return email acknowledging the email I had sent her.

once upon a time, I remember Reagan quoting someone saying that regardless of the political make-up of Congress, when the people demand something, they will act.

Unfortunately, in Reagan’s day, Americans were much more well educated and had sustained enough historical examples to learn from mistakes.

People are uneducated about the economy. You have liberals dominating the economic, legal, and political education. What you and I know as simple truths, our liberal friends can’t even begin to comprehend. Unless we fix this education gap, nothing will change.

Do we have the names of (2) Full Spectrum Conservatives serving anywhere in Maine’s Government? What about (1) Full Spectrum Conservative from PA with name recognition to seriously compete in the Phili/Pit suburbs and without having to sell themselves as “moderate”? Anyone?

THROW THE RINOS OUT OF THE GOP

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn’t make any sense at all.""

Inhofe Statement on Stimulus Compromise

February 6, 2009

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), issued the following statement tonight after the announcement of a compromise on the Senate stimulus bill.

"While I appreciate the efforts of my colleagues to bring down the price tag of this bill, the fact is we still face a trillion dollar spending bill. Making it worse, the bill is 93% spending and only 7% stimulation. Over the past few days I have fought to include more in the way of real stimulus through higher percentage of infrastructure and defense spending, while working to cut much of the typical government waste often found in a bill of this size. Yet Democrats have blocked these efforts.

"The good news tonight is that the American people are catching on to the fact that this largest spending bill in history and are becoming more and more vocal in their opposition. My offices in Oklahoma and Washington DC have been flooded with emails, phone calls and faxes overwhelmingly opposed to this trillion dollar legislation. They can rest assured that my vote remains an unwavering ‘no.'"

I'm late to the party and a tad confused...so if the Senate passes this tonight, why does Barry need to go on prime time TV on Monday to scold us about not passing Porkulus.

The Democrats don’t care about the country. This bill is important to them because it guarantees their re-elections.

More government dependents, more Democrat votes.

This bill is about nothing but power for the Socialists.

Three Republican traitors have guaranteed the minority status of their party, perhaps forever.

Harry Reid is speaking now

We are doing everything we can to make sure this severe recession does not become a great depression

(maybe just a good depression, but not a great one)

I have to be very candid here....this is not perfect....but it was all done in good faith

errp

For those of you who are upset, I hope I can give you a word of encouragement. No matter what happens (re: the Stimulus vote specifically and the country in general), please know that God is in control. I'm sure this whole thing (Obama’s presidency, the Democratic Congress, and all the socialistic, pro-terrorist, anti-American, anti-Christian laws that they are going to pass) has something to do with the whole end time prophecy. As long as you're a born-again Christian you have nothing to really worry about--don't forget that we win at the end.

However, I wonder if God will be upset with me if I indulge in picturing all those who are for socialism (and therefore the destruction of the US)burning in hell.

"QUORUM CALL VOTE ON PORCULUS (sigh) Time to bend over and grab the Vaseline."

Good grief! A quorum vote is a vote in COMMITTEE! This is NOT a Senate floor vote. Calm down. A quorum vote is to determines if the bill reaches the Senate floor!

When it hits the Senate floor, then lets freak out!

The bill is junk. The Senate bill eliminated tax cuts of $18 billion. The bill is now all spending.

Time to bend over and grab the Vaseline.

Unless you're an illegal immigrant, government worker, lobbyist, etc.

Quorum call is not a vote, it’s a roll call used as a device to stall proceedings on the Senate floor, usually so that a member can reach the floor to make a statement.
