==China was civilized when our ancestors were painting them solves in mud and howling at the moon.

PS The China is no longer China, it is RED...with all the injustice and starvation that that implies...notwithstanding the better standard of living that exists in the designated economic zones.

“I also think that pandora’s box is an excellent description of the moral implications of developing any treatment that depends on the destruction of human life.”

Could not have been said better. Thank you.

Anyone that allows a stemcell from anywhere but their own bod to be implanted is a fool.

"One woman in my town killed her 7-month-old baby, and ate the baby with another woman"

There is a prophecy in Deuteronomy that says that people will do that during the siege on Jerusalem during the Great Tribulation.

Magical thinking ~ they'are all looking for the "philosopher's stone" that will turn garbage into gold.

As I noted, the Ancient Greeks would have created a god for this and the devotees could worship and pray to it in the open.

Christianity swept that away so rather than making a god out of our basest desires, we have to draw moral distinctions. Apparantly that sort of work is just too much for many people.

Magical thinking ~ they imagine Rand worked out one of the fundamentals and that it can be applied to all situations.

No doubt she would have been appalled to find her musings reduced to the status of holy scripture with their own acolytes and priests, with officialy prescribed interpretations.
