I saw it in the window and I just had to have it. (and Harvey Korman was one of the funniest people, ever)

In the interest of great racial tolerance and in a true Kumbaya moment...I just saw on pMSNBC that BET (yeppers, Black Entertainment Network) has a Ball. NBCite Hooda whatsherface, listed the guest list. No caucausian ‘stars’ listed. Hmmmmm? Curious, n’est ce pas?

Here's the AP's take on MO's dress proving we live in a parallel universe:

WASHINGTON - First lady Michelle Obama celebrated her husband's inauguration Tuesday night wearing a white chiffon, one-shoulder gown covered in fluffy appliques and beading that will now become part of fashion history.

Designed by 26-year-old Jason Wu, much loved in the fashion world but otherwise not well known, the gathered-skirt gown was surprising for its reserve given Michelle Obama's love of jewel tones and sleek silhouettes. Yet it was unconventional too, exposing her much-remarked-upon, well-toned arms.

The gown's slight train swirled pleasingly and her shoulder-sweeping earrings picked up the gown's sparkle as she and President Barack Obama danced the evening's first dance at the Neighborhood Ball at Washington's Convention Center.

IMHO, Michelle's dress doesn't seem to flatter her bust line at all. The strap over her shoulder doesn't fit the style of the dress.

Very unflattering given her size and figure. My first reaction on seeing the dress was the strap was stuck on as an afterthought. Doesn't flow with the dress at all.

I was speaking with a client today who’s retired from the fashion industry.

She was aghast at the choices and said that whomever is advising Michelle on her choices must....hate her.

Jackie always dazzled. Ballgown, suits, a sweater set with pearls, riding pants, whatever. She was always dazzling.

Can anyone imagine Sarah Palin tonite???
