This is the same Norman Hsu who failed to appear in court last year for fleeing a sentencing hearing for a prior charge. His lawyer at the time said that Hsu thought he was getting on a BART train to the courthouse, but got on the wrong train (Amtrak cross-country). Never mind that BART doesn't go to the courthouse.
Hsu was also laundering money through a Daly City family (Paw), the husband being a mailman and the wife a truant officer.
I think the MSM downplayed the Hsu story at the time because it interfered with the Republican Jack Abramoff "culture of corruption" mantra since the 2006 mid-term elections.
