And a Very Merry headed your way as well! Holed up in my cabin with three feet of snow on the ground and another foot on the way. Just fed the boarders’ horses, hay in the racks above the snow. How odd that something too big for the earth to contain fit into a manger that one special morning!

.... and in the stillness of the cold night, lights above softly twinkled, a cold breeze visited upon them as they huddled about a small fire made of sparse wood, and brush, and dried dung. Ever watchful on their herd of sheep,for the beasts of the darkness hid in the shadows to feed, the spoke quietly among themselves.

And a voice came from around them, not much louder than their own. It spoke to them, from all about them, without and within them. It filled the earth and sands, the distant hills, the air, and the stars above, with a resonance never before felt.

"Behold, a joyful day is upon you. For the Son of God is born among men.."

Throughout the lands, borne by the wind, and for a few moments in the stillness of the night, they heard a distant baby's cry.
