Patterson getting in front of the camera and on the phone for “circus tickets” was hilarious.

Next week, maybe they could have a skit where a pressie throws a shoe at Patterson. Unlike Bush, he will fail to duck. Hilarity ensues.

“These lumps managed to make Hugh Laurie seem droll and boring!!”

Wow. Hugh Laurie doesn’t need much to seem funny.

What’s wrong with SNL? I can’t tell how liberal they are anymore but I know they are still liberal. Maybe they’re just having a meltdown. If only it would spread...

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet. It's hilarious *and* offensive -- which is a nice change from the usual partisan bashing those miserable scumbags spew once a week for half the year.
Like disgraced Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Paterson must appoint someone to the senate seat being vacated by Sen. Hillary Clinton... Armisen, as Paterson, says he has three criteria: economic experience, upstate influence and someone with a disability who is completely unprepared for the job - just like him. "I want to choose a senator not from the glitzy coke parties of Manhattan but rather from the shabbier coke circles of upstate new york," he said. "I'm tired of all these fancy, two-eyed smart alecs from the big city running the whole show."

:’) Hey, I’m just glad I know you. You bring some class to the place. Which it needs, because I’m around here too, and have no class at all. ;’)

You are way too humble...I always thought of YOU as the class of FR ;-)

But seriously, the gov is in the public eye (so to speak), so I guess I was more offended by the attack on the disability itself. In school, only the real a-holes would pick on someone with a chronic problem (making fun of someone who broke his arm is different and OK).

I know Kanye West is popular. This was the first I have seen/heard him (being an old fogey re most music!). WHY is he popular? The songs were not bad, and he can move on stage (nothing fancy but he can move to the beat) BUT HE CANNOT SING A NOTE ON PITCH. Or was he supposed to sound that way just for those songs? He has that weird voice modulator thing that makes the voice sound “metallic” but even that did not disguise that he was not hitting the notes. What is the deal with him?

I think it was hilarious AND offensive. The imitation of Paterson was excellent! I certainly like Seth Meyers’s SNL better than the old Tina Fey version. I believe Mr. Meyers looks for the humor in the current political situation, whereas Ms. Fey looked ONLY to see how to ridicule Republicans (She did eight full years on the theme “Bush is dumb,” wow). Seth will go far.
