Good point, Owl. Run through the filter of what honest people say and how they say it, Obama's response is down right damning. The MSM's failure to acknowledge the obvious--at a level recognizable by any minimally competent parent, teacher, or small claims court judge--is just more evidence of the death of journalism. There are a few glimmers though. Surprisingly, Jake Tapper has managed some skeptical notes.

Blago doesn't actually live in the Governor's mansion. It's vacant, he never moved in. He doesn't like Springfield. He lives in his home in Chicago and has an offce in Chicago as well. Whenever he is actually required to be in Springfield, he flies down and back (usually on the same day) at state expense.
Here’s the deal: When Axelrod “misspoke” he had no reason to lie. Obama had a reason to lie yesterday and he went for his first instinct.
