While you would think the AIDS virus would be a wake-up call, I’ve noticed that almost all the homosexuals who contract it only cling to their bizarre lifestyle even more. Andrew Sullivan is a good example. Years ago, he used to be almost semi-sane. But once he contracted HIV through a promiscuous lifestyle, he became even more militant and defensive of his sexual fetish. It truly makes a man like him look perverted and scary - like someone demented.
Good post.
and no babies to slow ‘em down either.
Bump....
I’m always amazed that smoking is vilified, and homosexual behavior is not when homosexual behavior is far less healthy than smoking.
Maybe we can start complaining of ‘second-hand gayness’...
No, but give it a few months in the warm spotlight and it will become real cheesy.
I would think Andrew Sullivan would say that if you want them to become less promiscuous, you have to allow them to marry. The problem is, they want all of us, to approve of their behavior; when that doesn’t happen, they flip out like little children. Prop 8 was approved, but it will be torn down by the courts again. And that will still not be enough.
Wow, he really does. Absolutely vicious, and they are just getting started.
Simon Fanshawe is a writer and broadcaster who created the documentary "The Trouble With Gay Men" after becoming increasingly alarmed at the shallowness and destructiveness of the "gay lifestyle."
I saw, in a small way, what he described played out. I remember having an ongoing discussion regarding this years ago in college. My roommate worked with 2 gay men and I tagged along sometimes on her short shifts. Both were openly gay, one in his 50's in a longterm relationship and worried because his companion (he always called him that) who needed surgery and there were complications with him being permitted access to information. The other in his 30's, very flamboyant and very radical. One was in a stable longterm monogamous relationship and the other engaging in risque behavior. The older guy was aghast that the 'gay' movement was working so hard to align itself with the most outrageous behavior, tried to explain 'we aren't all like that', convinced it would bring 'ruin to us all'. It was a very interesting dialogue, one that is difficult to have these days without being accused of being homophobic or engaging in hate speech. The older guy was sooo right. And so is Simon. Spot on.
