Not the worst, in fact, was the best of the four top candidates!

I agree. McCain was a flawed candidate from the outset; perception was: he was a hotheaded, vindictive and petty old man who didn’t pay much attention to his constituents, even if he did make nice during the campaign. And he gave us Campaign Finance Reform. AND he tried to give us up to 100 million illegal aliens thru amnesty. I’d like to see REAL Immigration reform, but that was just crazy. Give me Sarah any day!

Sheer imbecility. Without Palin McCain would have lost in a genuine landslide, as the GOP base would have stayed home or voted for Barr. In fact, if the financial crisis hadn’t displaced high oil prices as the central issue of the campaign, she might have carried Mac over the finish line.

I still want to know whether Soros, Buffet or any pro-Obama hedge-fund managers have their fingerprints on the timing of the crisis. Were financial companies dumped, or even short sold, by pro-Obama folks with deep pockets in order to trigger the crisis? I think it would have happened eventually anyway, but as the left is fond of saying, the timing is suspicious.

I’m troubled by the Cindy McCain and “lover” pictures. Is that for real or a “Photo Shop” deal?

Agreed, the best (by miles) of the four on the ticket, though Slow Joe and Obama set a hurdle that a slug can leap.

A look at recent history can only serve to deflate that ridiculous claim.

Why does he stop at recent history? I would nominate William R. King, Franklin Pierce's Veep, who was terminally ill with TB when selected for the ticket, a special Act of Congress had to be passed to allow him to take his Oath of Office in Cuba where he had gone due to his poor health. He survived only forty-five days after that, the office remained vacant for four years! So much for all this worry over "a heartbeat away" stuff, HUMPH!!
