I have since moved back to California. Interesting you say that. Just heard a couple of hours ago my Father in Laws best buddy just moved back from Kansas. He moved there about 4 years ago. Told everyone it was great.
Now he's back...lol..

Don’t forget they want to tax your dogs and cats too... need that money to pay for Arnie’s green programs.

Then WHY did he move???? They are moving to AZ, too ...

I am afraid you may have a point. My recent experience includes a discussion with a new Texas resident, recently arrived from California. He seemed pretty reasonable on the surface, but soon announced he was a liberal who had voted for Obama. Good news for California. According to many here, the leftist seem to be leaving and pouring into all the other states.
Fantastic!

I have heard of the Fountainbleau but I know nothing else about it. Where is or will it be located? Fontainebleau will be the tallest building in town, except for the Stratosphere...which isn't really a building. It's expected to open in December, 2009. Vegas Today and Tomorrow has a good overview of Fontainebleau here:
Fontainebleau Las Vegas
It's at the northern end of the Strip, north of Riviera and across Las Vegas Boulevard from Circus Circus.

I am in Oregon where our govt is considering a leaf tax, banning plastic bags, and making it illegal to have a fire in your fireplace on X number of days per week. The Peoples Republic of Portland. Thanks Kalifornia.

Do you want me banned from the Fresno thread because I don't agree with you? How liberal of you. I was born in CA, Modesto to be precise, in the same hospital as Mark Spitz, The Gallo’s, and Gerorge Lucas (I think). The policies that are ruining CA are being exported by CA transplants. Liberals never think what they do doesn't work, they just think they need to do more of it. So now they are spreading their liberal poison that is destroying this nation.

I was unaware that there was a disagreement between us and I’m not trying to get anyone banned from anything. I’m not sure how you draw that implication. I was just asking, if you are so CA averse why you would choose to associate yourself with a web site based here, in California er, “Kalifornia”.
There are currently, if the results of the last election can be believed, somewhere around 13,000,000 to 15,000,000 conservatives in California. I’m not sure why some people seek to weaken the conservative movement by alienating us and dividing the conservative movement based upon where people live - good Oregon conservatives vs. bad “Kalifornia” conservatives. One might suspect that this had something to do with why conservatives have been beaten so badly in the last two elections.

While generally true that libs turn a state into a dump, bail, and bring their azzinine tax and spend policies with them, productive people also often leave the dump and bring quite the opposite attitude with them. I’m an example - bailed on CA in 2000, and have always been a conservative.

You all need to stay there. They should stay there to keep the state from falling into Mexico's hands.
