The earlier poster is correct, to be so put out by this is just silly, considering the fact that while that particular turkey at that particular farm is being let off the hook, so to speak, a jillion others are about to get the hook to be ready for dinner next Thursday. You are a vegetarian, good, glad you have found a lifestyle you enjoy. Those of us who consume a product intended for our sustenance, we don't give two hoots that the camera caught the act. Again, it was the juvenile chiron running underneath that you ought to be criticizing.
Do you even understand the concept of pardoning a turkey? It is supposed to be a lighthearted event. Not an event which has a turkey slaughered while the person doing the pardoning is fully aware of this.
I don’t care who would do such a thing. It is stupid. Period.
Stop making excuses when your heroes make mistakes.
She made a mistake. Period.
Where? Who is "they"? "They" also said she spent thousands on her wardrobe, didn't know the countries involved in NAFTA (regardless she had to negotiate with them under the terms of the treaty) and that her son was really her daughter's child.
Yep. She is living her life and not worrying about the media. I like that!
Where do you see a post from me wherein I claim Gov. Palin is my hero? I am saying that you have fallen for the very thing the lamestream wish for you to, accept their notion of her rather than keep a real perspective on things. IT WAS A TURKEY!
If Obama did this exact thing, I could just hear you.
Exactly! Where do these fools think their Thanksgiving turkey comes from? Do they actually think they just come packaged and drained of blood as they see in the stores?
INCREDIBLE!
It is a moment that has outlived its humor -- even Bob Hope changed his routine once in a while.
It is interesting that the ONLY media outlet to film the interview with the turkey processor behind it was the NBC affiliate, KTUU (which is how MSNBC got it—they must be desperately looking at footage to find anything on Palin—pardoning a turkey is so newsworthy, ya know). All the other media outlets either angled their cameras in the other direction, or, as in most cases when a single person is being interviewed, focused in on Palin’s face such that the processor wasn’t seen at all.
Even more interesting is the fact that the video is no longer available on KTUU.
You're not the only one that the MSN has turned against her.
Their plan is working.
I didn’t see it but she needs to learn to not respect the media. They basically ruined her this past election cycle and apparently have no plans to stop.
Actually, on the interview with Greta van Susteren, Palin said she does not hunt moose. She said she prefers hunting caribou. Also, she does not cut up the meat, they take it to a processing place to have that done.
I’m hoping that too.
I caught the MSNBC bit, and the arrogant condescension shown by Shuster was nauseating.
What, he doesn’t eat turkey, so WTF’s the big deal.
The guy doing the slaughtering was hamming it up, despite the network induced blur. I was laughing. And then Schuster with his snitty snotty look and tone was infuriating.
As it is, it won’t play well here in Obamastan, but many will get a kick out of it.
Things like this are why I’m firmly in the Jindal camp.
It’s great fun. We are having fun today, even though it is -13 and it was supposed to warm up today but apparently will not warm up until Tuesday. Did you know they kill turkeys for Thanksgiving, millions of them? The pardoned turkey is grateful no doubt.
Wasn’t MSNBC the only “MSM” (and I use this term loosely) outlet that covered the shocking story of Palin wearing shorts at a pool? I believe they are the only ones to have covered “turkeygate” as well.
This shows what non-stories these are-—and how the MSNBC guys are so desperate to disparage Palin. Makes one wonder why?
