Then the stock market cash came and those issues were knocked off the table. As result, Mac became unfocused and tried to shift focus away from the economy. Doing so made McCain look out of touch with the American people. That sealed the deal for Obama.

Consider, 1. James Simpson's "Crisis of Manufactured Crisis" articles and, 2. McCain shooting his chances in the foot by taking the wrong side on the bailout.

Maelstrom is one of the hardliners against Mitt, no matter what. If he sneezed and Mitt said God bless you he would take it as blasphemy.

I like Mitt myself.

Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney

Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?

Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?

Romney Supporters Trashing Palin

Romney advisors sniping at Palin?

Mitt Romney is right. NO MORE BAILOUTS! But that's what John McCain voted for in September and which he seems all but set to vote for again.

Re: Your “conservative winner” who is my governor:

Passing a $500 million government subsidy for a Canadian company to build a gas pipeline that the oil companies (and gas owners) would build on their own—I might add with Democrat support and Republican opposition—is not my idea of “conservative winner.” I haven’t a doubt Sarah would bail out the auto industry just like she supported amnesty. If you liked McCain, you’ll love President Sarah. Only dumber. (If that’s possible.) Freepers are so stupid, they don’t know when the whole board has turned RINO. It really is stomach-turning.

The only reason I can think of that makes people think Romney is a conservative is that he looks like a tough guy and talks like a tough guy. His governing policies were liberal and did a complete 180 a few years before the election to gear up as a conservative.

TG,

Mitt Romney came across as a Nixonian compassless "pragmatist" in recently purchased conservative clothing.

FR conservatives don't find that very appealing.

Shucks, not enough FReepers can even swallow much more of a government role than moralistic libertarianism -- even in state government. Mike Huckabee had a terrible time, here. Ronald Reagan, by his record in California would have been lambasted here! And with some reason. 8-o

Just an aside, has anyone noticed how lots of men hate Romney and lots of women hate Palin? Not necessarily anyone here, but I’ve noticed that a lot in the past year. Lot of player-haters out there.

Slick Willard knows how to lead. He led the movement to implement Socialism and bankrupt state government. Slick Willard knows how to lead. He was the best Democrat Governor of MA ever in willfully and deliberately making the GOP uncompetitive for any office of import for years to come. Slick Willard knows how to lead. He fired lots of people in private business and called it successful leadership. Slick Willard knows how to lead. He dispatched mentally-ill paid minions and sycophants all over the internet to lie and slime people that talk about his real record. Slick Willard knows how to lead. He tells a crowd one thing while telling another something else. Slick Willard knows how to lead. His Ruth’s Chris lunch was more important than taking the time to keep a leftist murderer-releasing judge from being appointed to the bench, the murderer of Brian and Beverly Mauck. Slick Willard knows how to lead.

Well I’m glad that you have apparently personally met the Governor and can make a judgement call on her intellect. Guess you get a tingle up your leg when you hear Mitt talk eh?

As far as Mitt’s record you can’t call him a conservative either so thank you come again...

I heard that Mitt will be on Cavuto tomorrow to discuss this.

Also, Dick Armey's group, Freedom Works, is asking us to Say No to the Bailout.

I’m not as enamoured with Sarah Palin as you are. I have some very fundamental disagreements with her about the fundamental principles of our republic.

But, she’s certainly no Mitt Romney.

And let’s not forget his amazing show of integrity and character when the prop 8 protesters were taunting and protesting the mormons - hmm... why didn’t we see him sticking up for his church or his religion?

I think the whole thing was a rope-a-dope. The media were happy to have him as the nominee since they knew he wouldn’t attack the Democrats and would play the role of graceful loser. He only deviated from the script for 5 minutes when he chose Palin. The media took care of that by destroying Palin and her family. He then went back to the script. Naah, he didn’t want to win.

You mean the "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" problem?
