Considering his marxist views and that of his family and friends, I’m sure that he would have used that excuse to avoid signing up for SS for a country that he appears to not have much respect for.
From reading parts of his book, not signing up would make perfect sense with his views at the time.
It now seems to make much more sense that birth certificate related reason for not registering for selective service would be more likely tied to being an foreign alien at the age of 18 or 19 in the year 1980.
So, if the draft form is in fact a true forgery, then, the reasons for him not registering could only be one of the three:
1. He refused to register under a form of personal protest
2. He was not a citizen of the US at the time
3. He simply forgot to register.
Interest in this matter is increasing exponentially.
Hitler was not a German. The media of his day did not make a big deal of this before he was elected. Neither did they investigate his SAS Brownshirts or his ties to the bombing of the Reichstad. No one was interested in what Adolph believed or how he would carry out his proposals or even in his true name. Germany had so many problems brought on by the prior administration. The German people had lost the World’s respect and they were suffering a terrible financial crisis. Germany needed CHANGE!

Not that he’s the MSM but I heard Michael Medved recently saying that the birth certificate has been touched, verified, etc by Factcheck. Supposedly it has a raised seal. According to Medved, anyone still beating this drum is a nutcase.
Then why didn’t BO present his birth certificate to squelch some of these lawsuits?

I would tend to agree, with or without a birth certificate status being a factor.
That would make his Birth Certificate and draft form controversies to be two mutually exclusive stains on his history, as opposed to them being linked to a single issue. (assuming both are in fact proven to be scandals)
I may be legally naive on this but.... Would it not be a simpler lawsuit to achieve to get hold of Zero’s Columbia records of various kinds then use that result to leap frog - based on information thus acquired into a more incisive request for the BC?

If his Indonesian step father adopts B, he reverts to the Indonesian citizenship. Check the adoption laws of the US. You are right, parents cannot take away your US status, however adoption changes the situation. Otherwise, if BO is 18 years old, can the US draft him for military service (assuming US draft still existed) and arrest him for draft dodging and come after him for any US obligations if B never left Indnosia????
I find it rather suspicious that Medved once worked for Ron ‘Commie Red’ Dellums. Medved may be surreptitiously returning to his early roots.

But I too am mystified about the MSM’s reticence. Well, not mystified really, but curious. Their heavy bias is already understood, but for chissakes this a highly intriguing story and they spend endless hours on infotainment, missing girls, race issues, etc—why not a few segments on this???

There’s every reason to believe he is not a natural born citizen.
There’s SOMETHING wrong or he wouldn’t be paying thousands of dollars to lawyers to fight having to present a birth certificate. What’s the story? Let’s have it. It’s as simple as that.

You ignore the posts that made the point of adoption. Adoption is a legal procedure and would have legal consequences.
The omissions have a plausible inference. These are not crackpot conspiracy theorists weaving together a fable.
He has discrepancies in a published online birth certificate.
He has inconsistencies and discrepancies in Selective Service registration.
He has sealed his college records.
He has barred the release of his Birth Certificate.
He appeared with a very few to support a bizarre Senate resolution regarding John McCain’s citizenship.
These things collectively weigh towards more suspicion. If he is for transparency, this would be an easy task to clear up.
