To be honest, it has been many years since I read the book and studied its history, and I don't have much interest in doing it again. I took away from it a good understanding not only of what the economic goals of Marxists and communists are, but now understand the totalitarian agenda of the cultural Marxists that have been carrying the torch Gramsci lit.
I'm sure your academic knowledge of him and his writing is fresher and more advanced than mine. The purpose of my post was to change the parlance so that we stop pretending and/or allowing ourselves to be deceived that the emperor is beautifully adorned. To me, totalitarianism is the ultimate goal, not of everyone in academe and those who like the ‘theory’ aspect of it, but of the communists, the Marxists and the cultural Marxists, who to me are one and the same.
