By heaping praise on McCain right now (with tongue firmly in cheek), she is elevating herself above the attacks and making her backstabbers look petty and self-serving, while coming out clean herself.
Think psychological warfare, Joe!

Americans need to learn an excruciatingly bitter lesson. No need to elaborate here on the reasons why. Let's hope it is learned within the next couple years; then we set the stage for Sarah in 2012.
She will do her part with her flawless stewardship of Alaska.
In the meantime, Republicans need to start demanding that Biden have an MRI of the brain (which we should have done emphatically during the election, especially after the Roosevelt on TV gaffe). I'm convinced it will be abnormal.

Yes, it's psychological warfare, to be sure.
But you're looking through the wrong end of the telescope.

Well, Carley, just keep in mind that the GOP is not monolithic, but has its own factions with their own agendas, and Governor Palin does not necessarily fit into them, for example Mitt Romney's potential candidacy in 2012 (he's on a cruise ship right now trying to talk up support among the big GOP power players.)
All is not as it seems in Presidential politics. I suggest that you take a look at this ancient work, which lays out timeless principles on how to win and to win efficiently and stealthily.

Oh, so it’s ok to not to tell the truth in the name of political psychological warfare?

Same here LLS. I was wondering if there was a poll out there on that.
1. Palin is the only reason I voted for McCain
2. Palin is the only reason I voted at all
3. Palin is the only reason I contributed to McCain
4. Palin didn’t affect my vote for McCain
5. Palin is the reason I didn’t vote for McCain
I’m guessing 1, 2, and 3 would be significant.

Yes, when you're trying to defeat your political enemies and win the White Hopuse. Obama is the master of it, as was Bill Clinton. Republicans, well, they're not necessarily so gifted in the art of political deception, but more incompetent.

Theyre terrified of her, and the attacks wont stop. What happens if she unifies the country against Hussein et. al?It might be pretty easy in 2 years with over 15% unemployment and around a third of voters defaulting on mortgages and credit cards.

The article said — “She wants to rehabilitate her image and get everyone to love her again,” says Larry Persily, a former Palin aide. “If I were advising her, say it once and then stop. You protest too much. You start to look a little foolish.”
That’s a totally stupid and ridiculous comment and assessment. The reason why is that it’s the *news people* that keep asking the same questions — not that Sarah Palin keeps bringing it up hereself. Each interview she is on, they ask the same questions over and over again. It has nothing to do with Sarah Palin “protesting too much”.
This is more of the *totally weird* MSM-mentality at work here, to so that about Sarah Palin.
What a bunch of jerks in the media, too...

Sarah Barracuda is coming out here!
She knows that you have to strike while the iron is hot!
I think she has better political instincts than most all who surrounded her in the campaign. Reagan in his day went against his advisors because he felt it was the right thing to do. Sarah Palin is setting herself up for 2012 and those who might go against her are going to eat her dust as she rumbles by them.
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
I believe Romney people are treacherous. For McCain to have his people attack Palin would reflect back onto McCain.
As for Politico and assorted other blogs, they are part of our problem along with figuring out how to decommission ACORN.
