Yes, what on earth would poor dumb slobs do without trial lawyers. I mean, EVERYTHING would be less expensive.
Lawyer Logic:
A Villain For Every Victim
John Edwards' thinking isn't very presidential.

John Edwards built his career suing doctors and hospitals, claiming that maternity-ward missteps caused newborns to develop cerebral palsy.
The theory that doctor error is a common cause of CP was dubious when Mr. Edwards used it to win his cases, from the 1980s to the mid-1990s, and is universally rejected by experts today.
Like other plaintiff's lawyers, apparently, Mr. Edwards went shopping for medical theories, conveniently agreeable experts and sympathetic defendants--a process that is easy to deplore. But the real problem with Mr. Edwards's record as a lawyer lies beneath the specifics of his cases, in the fundamental philosophy that motivated his work.

well since lawyers are more important than doctors, we should mandate that every lawyer has to see a client regardless of his ability to pay if his legal needs are deemed an emergency.
There should be a law mandating that every person that is seen in a lawyers office can not be transferred to another lawyer's office unless he has higher qualifications that can't be met by the lawyer transferring care.
Finally a lawyer must accept all transfers from less qualified lawyers if he is able to provide the higher level of legal care.
Each failure will result in a violation under federal law and be subject to civil and criminal penalties.
What a bunch of cr#p. Funny thing is that most lawyers presenting to an emergency room NEVER say that they are a lawyer unless pressed about it. Now , secretaries and legal aides always like to drop that in conversation, but lawyers rarely do.

"There is no other profession in America that fights for freedom, that fights for what America is about, that fights for justice for ordinary people." But you do that only for a contingency fee or court-appointment.

Wow, I didn't know my cousin Gerry was still out there making waves. I thought he had retired from the spotlight. Fortunately for me, he inherited his liberal tendencies from his mother's side... and I'm related to his father's. If I had to have a famous relative, I really would've preferred a conservative .
