Over the years the Gadsden flag has become more and more associated with rebellion and totally disassociated with pride in one’s government. Some say that this makes it a lousy symbol for the Fourth of July. But I say that makes it a great symbol for celebrating the spirit of July 4, 1776.

Since I was at work all day, I did not see your link. Thanks, it is a great story and another insight into Ben Franklin that I did not know. Now that I am home, I am going to read this link with a bourbon in hand,thinking of those brave colonials. Of course they did not have the MSM then. Philadelphia sure has changed.
