No parking spots available at 11:00 AM at my polling place in Bucks Co., PA. Unprecedented. I went to vote at 11:00 as I have today off (peak of the rut for deer hunting season here) but came out of the woods long enough to vote. Told my wife to come home early from work tonight to vote, as the lines tonight will be ridiculous. Now I’m heading back out into the trees with my trusty crossbow.....
I live in a rural county in northwest Indiana that usually goes Democratic. I just voted and it took close to 90 minutes. Everyone said they had never seen so many come out to vote. Many elderly, handicapped, farmers saying that this election is too important not to vote, so they were making the sacrifice to wait in long lines and be instructed on how to use the computerized voting machine. The learning curve was causing the delays. People were taking 5 minutes or more to vote in some cases. There were only four machines for about 200 people trying to vote. This at mid-morning.

please accepted
LS- how do you handicap the race? 50/50 chance? Or will it take a miracle?

In South Carolina she would not have been allowed to vote unless she turned that shirt inside out! You can not wear a button, a pin, a shirt, a hat, a sticker...nothing that indicates which candidate or party you are voting for. You also can not do that if you work the polls, especially if you work the polls! That being said, I wonder if that is only in SC.
True, MD was never in play. I hope my vote helped with the local issues, and popular vote pride as you stated. Every four years I have to settle for the role of a Spartan in “300” when it comes to the Commander in Chief job. :)
No lines here in Lynchburg, VA. I took my niece to vote this morning for her first time. My wife doesn’t know if she can get to he polls though because her liberal co-workers called in sick today. She’s stuck at the hospital working.
Ha, theres no R-Party in Illinois!
Unfortunately, just the non-Democrat part of the Combine.
Are you in Hegewisch?
Yep, I'm in good old Hegewisch.
Columbia in Howard County MD at 9:20am - Seemed like lower turnourt vs 2006 in this BLUE area of a DEEP BLUE state. The place seemed empty. Was in and out within 10 minutes with no waiting. I was almost expecting a line what with all the stories on TV this morning. Voted McPalin!(of course)
I have to say that with all the Pro Obama media over the last few months, the prilosec and blood pressure meds were really being tested.
Now get out and VOTE!
I don’t recall ever seeing you at Mugs.....
Figures - only Yokels know where we are....
Pretty heavy turnout in rural NH, but no waiting. Two groups of Obammunists with signs outside the polling place; no Republicans. Obama stickers on several cars parked outside.
Smooth sailing at this 20. Only had to wait five minutes.

Ill be voting tonight around 5:30PM. Well see how heavy turnout is after work.
DuPage always has been primarily Reoublican territory.
Nah — I have a very busy work schedule and spend the rest of the time on family stuff, so I don’t get out much.
I heard there was a responsible person in town somewhere.....
Last night the usually confident Jim Geraghty on NRO said 0bama would win by taking CO and VA. That was very discouraging. We can only hope one or both of those comes our way. Apparently Mark Warmer in VA has a tremendous GOTV effort for the Dems. Unless there is an upset in PA this is bad news.
