The thing that frosts me is that these morons don’t care if what they say makes sense anymore. They apparently feel like they’ve got it in the bag and no one can hold them to account.

And the funny thing is, he is right.

Election after election you get lied to. Your life doesn’t change for the better. And yet you keep voting for the liar because you know what you are getting with him.

People are idiots. The left wing treats their lil useful idiots like mushrooms. Keeps them in the dark and feeds them nothing but crap. And election after election they are grateful and put them back into office.

We get what we deserve. If Murtha is reelected, I will have lost all faith in America, regardless of who is elected.

Remember, we heard ALL this crap in 1976 - THIRTY YEARS AGO - and a new, cabinet level agency created - the Department of Energy was another result.

Coal is cheap, plentiful, and the US happens to be blessed with most of it. Anyone against coal needs to be investigated for signs of dementia.

This is just a typical remark from a radical, out of control liberal who doesn’t understand reality. Obama seems to have this idea that American Industry, American Businesses and Corporations can just hand out millions of dollars to the government without feeling any ill effect. Well, what happens when he begins punishing these organizations to the point that they can no longer turn a profit? Do you think he can prevent them from leaving the continental United States? No, he cannot, he can of course punish them through tariff laws, which in the end only hurts the consumer in the form of higher retail prices. But what happens when he runs the last American Corporation into the ground? Where do his precious tax dollars come from then? The American family, the middle class. Obama can’t make something from nothing, and somehow he has sold these wolf tickets to an awful lot of Americans, who “expect” something from their government. It doesn’t come from the government, it comes from the friends and neighbors. Obama is going to be a disaster for this country, it will be Jimmy Carter all over again, in spades. Our economy isn’t perfect, and there will always be abuses, but you don’t punish enmass for the bad behavior of the few. Stand by America, if you vote this phony into the Oval Office, you’ll have nobody but yourself to blame. And I’ll be watching, from the Caymans.

Manchin is a dip%$^*.

I can’t stand the guy, he is one of those Democrats that get elected just because they are a Democrat, he was a default choice candidate.

If someone would make a big deal about this, they would be able to defeat him.

He is a sell-out, he knows that this is the only thing that might keep him from getting reelected, otherwise he will never loose.

CO2 can theoretically be captured but it is very expensive.

Are there any technologies to capture CO2 which don't require as much energy as was released in burning carbon, don't require totally impractical volumes of storage, and don't create hazardous conditions (the energy required to liquefy the CO2 produced by burning coal would probably be less than the energy released by burning, but storing large quantities of liquid CO2 would be more than a little bit problematical; what happens when tanks fail and the CO2 is released?)
