i think we can all agree...

that today this is an outlier.

we all get a sense that it is a 4 point or 3 point lead for obama and closing-im not happy about it but it is what it is. we have alot of momentum going into the weekend.

The media will not care this year about accuracy. They can simply blame the Bradley effect. These polls will shill for Obama to the end.

Noticed on their web sites that undecided voters increased from 4 to 6 per cent.....this could have someting to do with the changing results......especially if we feel undecided voters will trend McCain....

We never trusted Gallup. Then Gallup showed a tightening and we forgave it. Now it’s back to normal. Ignore.

Forget the polls!
As I said in several post earlier in the week pollsters will have the race tighten this week to get McCain supporters up and then come the weekend the pollsters will widen the BO lead to emotionally bring Macs supporters down and keep them home.
Don’t fall for poll manipulation folks.
Votes win elections, not polls.

VOTE!!!!!!!

Pollsters are weighting all over the place. They are sampling in different ways, too, and there’s just no way for so many to have such divergent results in a pure measurement.

I suspect, strongly, most of all . . . the entire industry is being turned on its head by people who have learned something about the methods and are intentionally acting to disrupt them.

Randomness stops being randomness when the sample self selects.

Shocked that you posted this so quick, tatown. This sure doesn’t seem to match reality, guess we will find out on Tuesday. I will go vote no matter what, but IF ALL of the polls end up showing Obama with an 8% lead right before election day then that is something to take note of to be sure. However, Gallup cranking out this thing with other polls not showing this doesn’t really worry me.

Please help everyone to remember what the media is trying to do.

The key to the Democrat/media/left strategy is Republican vote suppression. If they can demoralize Republicans into staying home, they will win.

Stage 1 of that strategy is what we are witnessing now. Skewing polls and saying Obama has already won.

Stage 2 will take place on Election Day:

First, they will release early exit polls. These exit polls will be taken during the daytime, which means they will oversample women.

Both of these will cause a massive oversampling of Democrats. This will show Obama with a commanding lead (just like it did for Kerry in 2004).

There really is only one thing that can stop McCain from winning now:

You and me.

If we’re demoralized, if we stay home, or if our pessimism rubs off on others who then stay home, we’ve given the media exactly what they want.

In fact, at this point, that’s the only way they can win this thing. All the standard leftward skewing of the past is on display now, and what it shows is that McCain is probably actually slightly ahead.

If we turn out—if we make sure our friends, family, and colleagues turn out—we win.

I am not inclined to dispute polls which have a negative result, but I’ll make an exception in this case. I think it is bogus.

Just based on Registered Voter numbers, a strong day for McCain dropped off and Obama added a strong day today. Yesterday was a terrible day for Obama, but currently on the three day average I show two strong Obama days and one very weak one. If Obama doesn’t have a great day tomorrow, his numbers on the RV poll will drop. McCain probably won’t change regardless.

It surely seems off quite a bit. However, it would be hard to refute the premise that Obama is leading McCain at the moment, based on all the major polls.

It’s desperation time for Republicans. Vote, vote often, and get your dead relatives to vote. Hee hee! Whatever it takes, Republicans have to vote to push back the rising tide of Obama polls.

Wonder if the pollster “experts” are as good as the Wall Street “experts” at Lehman, AIG, Goldman Sachs....

Gallup Poll says Americans are split on “ spreading the wealth around” Yeah I think Crack is not strong enough word to describe this Poll.

Ignore! Ignore!

Vote, donate, volunteer at your local McCain office, GOTV.

Make calls from your computer through McCain’s web site.
