Woah, Woah, Woah (My Biden impression :-) ) I didn’t read the whole thread before I posted. Okay, I’m not going to tell you to “get lost, punk” like Lancey. :-) But I respectfully disagree-—— a nice way of saying I think you’re off base on this one, jude.
Posting pictures of military sitting around in airports, alive, breathing, going home to see their loved ones, returning back to their duties overseas, whathaveyou.....is WAY different than pictures of our troops coming home in coffins. People can look at the picture that Lancey posted and interpret them any way they choose. Pictures of our troops’ coffins on planes is WAY more personal. They are dead. They will never be able to speak for themselves again. Their families haven’t even recieved them home for their burials.
You are correct that uniformed personnel are forbidden from campaigning for a candidate. However, someone else posting their picture is not the same thing. I took Lancey’s post as “sticking up” for them, not using them to elect his candidate. I have had the same concerns. Whether a picture was posted or not was irrelevant to me. We share the same concern.
At this point in the game, this is a big deal to me. Cancel the picture.....do you have an arguement with his hypothesis? I do not.
I remember when Clinton first came to power. I’d just finished a year tour in Korea and had returned to a stateside base. His first act with the military was an effort to legalize gay soldiers. Many will say, “No, he was only trying to change to “don’t ask don’t tell.”
Not so.
“Don’t ask don’t tell” was a compromise position after the sh_t hit the fan, and he just about had a national rebellion on his hands.
Obama WILL bring this up again.
He WILL pull out of the mideast. He will stop the plus-up in size of the military.
He’s looking for more money to dump into entitlements, AND he’s looking to injure us in the eyes of our enemies.
Clinton’s people also attempted to force the Marine Corps into making boot camp co-ed. I remember reading how frustrated the administration was that the Marines flat out refused to comply. I’ll try to dig up the story for reference.

If you watch the Sarah Palin ad at the top of the page, when it is finished, instead of the same video resetting, a pile of Palin hit pieces show up. I’ts like on youtube where similar videos appear, but these are all negatives following a positive....?
