Well, I can proudly say that I was able to convince my liberal, Jewish, Democrat co-worker and her husband to, for the first time ever, cross party lines and vote McCain.
This is how we win folks. Good work.

Amen. Every election cycle, I thank God for our Cuban Americans. They are far more patriotic then a lot of other Americans. They know the stench of communisism.

I think in FL we generally have a lot of absentee Repubs with older people not wanting to stand in line. We also get lots of Repubs who vote on election day like me.
7 am when the doors open and I am NOT a morning person. I am a “crawl over glass to vote” conservative Republican.

Looking good.
I’m actually shocked that we’re not way behind in the early voting.
Maybe the vaunted Obama GOTV effort is BS, too.

I work and voted early. I work downtown and the elections office is two blocks from my office so it was very convenient and fast. My daughter (24) went with me (she works evenings) and she also voted for McCain/Palin. My younger daughter (22) voted early (she is also working the polls elections day - her 3rd time!) and voted for McCain/Palin. My husband (dem) says he is voting for McCain/Palin. He's a Reagan democrat but hates Bush. Strange election year for sure.

I seriously, seriously doubt McCain will even get half of the Jewish vote. That would be unprecedented, at least in my lifetime Yeah,so... This whole election cycle has been one of unprecedented, unusual, events, twists, and turns.

Maybe the vaunted Obama GOTV effort is BS, too.It certainly proved to be that during the primaries. I really expected the Democrats would have made serious improvements in getting out the vote with all the money flowing, but at least so far in FL and OH (two very critical states) it doesn't seem to be the case.
Life is good.

Don’t forget Jessee Jacksons comment the other day. That may have an affect on the Jewish vote.

This whole election cycle has been one of unprecedented, unusual, events, twists, and turns. I don't really think so. What I've found is it's been filled with a lot of ridiculous claims, more and more of which are falling by the wayside as the election approaches.

Keep in mind Jackson also did the Hymietown comment years ago. I doubt it cost the Democrats more than a point or two, if anything.

Little story to confirm. One of our county GOP guys has a Jewish liberal co-worker in his law firm who has a mother in FL in a kind of assisted living, all Jewish. She is put out that she is the ONLY ONE who is voting Obama! And these are all Dems. A colleague here at the university---my son took this prof for a class and said "he/she is very liberal" told me that he/she had already decided to vote for McCain.
The Dems are gonna have to do WAY better than 900 early votes to win FL.

Obama is an unprecedented candidate. I keep coming back to this line from this Dem operative, "I'm spending half my time convincing Democrats that Obama isn't a Muslim."
We know how easily stupid rumors spread: McCain is going to end Social Security. Well, I think this Muslim thing has caught on. I know a military officer, a fine Christian, bright guy, who told me the other day, "You know, I just don't trust him. You don't have to be a Muslim to support the Muslims."
It's getting out, folks.

Perhaps, instead of sending trolls to FR spreading Politico rumors about how Palin has gone “rogue”, old Joe Axelrod should have his minions pick up a damn phone and try to get some of Obama’s chemically dependent constituents to the polls.
I'm really starting to wonder what the hell the Obama people are doing. It almost seems that all they have is false bravado and bluster.
