I dont know how they dont see it.

It is SIMPLE!

Everyone pay attention: STYLE over SUBTANCE rules us in 24/7 TV news coverage and CHARISMA over CONTENT always predicts the outcome of a debate!!

Simply put, Honest ABE LINCOLN could NEVER be elected President in today's day and age, and most likely could never even win the nomination.

Unless or until the GOP finds a conservative with looks, speaking ability and charisma we won't have a chance against any Democrat that possess all three.

Mitt is the voice of reason right now on Fox. He’s putting it all into perspective.

The Fox panel watched a different debate than I did .. and they DO need to get outside the Beltway and media elites.

that was a good natured joke cause i knew you were no newbie.

fair enough.

so why do I keep running into you on vanity threads, using those big yet unpretentious, fonts.

because SIXTY PERCENT of new comments are vanities or on vanity threads! *head asplodes in frustration*

oh and because I don't know how to code pretentious ones. ;)

trust me, Hillary or McCain would be much better than my mother as president...she burns the bread evertime.

true... if we let Bambi get elected, he'll tell you how much bread you get to have - so you can't afford to burn ANY of it.

Too late for the Bush rejoinder. McCain should have said that in Debate #1 and he didn’t and everyone knows it. Let’s face it, McCain is a lousy debater. He may still win the election.

Mr. Krauthhammer had it correct as you noted. McCain didn't close the deal on any of the arguments he was winning. But he did better tonight that the last yawner.

I don't know if there was any clear cut "debate winner" but I am pretty sure America will be the loser. It is only a matter of how much the Republic will loose under these two men.

Knowing we will loose more under Obama is very little solace, if any.

But, hey, I am way out here in the bleacher seats and my opinion and vote generally doesn't matter much to anyone but me.

You can not trust polls. Most Republicans are not at home and do not answer cold calls. Most Republicans are working late and weekends or out playing hard on free time, we are the producers of capitalism. Many people have cell phones and no home phone. They are way over sampling Democrats, loosers and under class who do not crawl on glass to vote like Republicans will.

McCain did far better in this debate than he did in the previous ones.

Obama had many ‘uncomfortable’ moments where he rambled and equivocated, in Contrast to McCain’s to the point and straightforward answers.

He also challenged and ‘got in Obama’s face’ more than he had previously done.

All of it seemed to work in McCains favor as he seemed to have Obama playing defense more than offense.

We flushed them a couple months ago. They’re as bad as the others. Actually, CNN has been more fair and balanced than Fox.

Write them an email, let them know how you feel, then just boycott the channel. They’ll get the message eventually when their numbers reflect the lack of conservative viewers.

They’ve gotten a little high and mighty, reflecting that Washington elitism, or maybe they’re just afraid of Obama, I haven’t quite figured which. But they are where they are because of conservatives, and if they turn them off, they’ll be down there competing with MSNBC for viewers, LOL.

It's not depressing enough to talk a subject to death.

Fox News is now trying to read beyond the lines with people like Frank Luntz and the so called body expert Tonya Reiman.

1. Brit Hume has not been the same since his wife left FOX. I suspect it was not an amiable departure.

2. Ever since McCain chose Palin as VP, the entire FNC All Stars have been grumpy and anti McCain. Why? Well one, they didn't break the story. Two, Sarah isn't an insider. Three, she grants very few interviews and, in so doing, snubs the MSM and them by association.

3. Any time Obama has said something negative about FOX, everyone one of FOX puts their knee pads on pulls a Lewinsky for Barack.

They’ve lost their balance.

Three weeks ago i sensed FNC was turning and I posted it here.

I wrote an angry but brief letter to them and to Oreally, and now only watch fox and friends and Megyn in the a.m.

Other than that, i have been done with them

The MSM lies. It’s all propaganda (and if a saudi bought FNC, well, that ‘splains it).

I wasn't surprised. Saddened to have been correct, but not surprised. In fact before the debate even started, I thought I was prepared for what ALL the media would say when it was over. Still, that FOX was so in the tank was sad to behold! And I let them know it.

So...here’s my take. The commentators are looking at other things. Like did he smile at the right time. Did he move his eyebrows when he should have.

They’re going for style...

A president doesn’t need to debate well. Just run the dang country ... dang it!

"I wish they'd drop Charlie Krauthammer (or however the hell you spell it). He's stiff, monotone, looks like he got a corn cob up his, well you know."

Are you proud of your ignorance now that you know he's a para- or quadra- plegic?

I have my problems with Krauthammer, especially with his dislike of Palin, but you do realize that his posture is dictated by the fact that he’s in a wheelchair because he’s paralyzed.

You took the words out of my mouth. McCain was easily the winner. The vein in Obama’s forehead looked like it was about to rupture. His goofy grin and snickering may have impressed the Fox people as cool, but he just looked like the guy in the back of the classroom acting the fool. Obama was on the defensive and seemed disconnected. Joe the Plumber ought to have a statue erected in his honor after McCain is sworn in. And what was up with Luntz? No one was leaning toward Obama when the imbecilic undecided walked in? What a crock. And Luntz looked insane when he started pointing at people and barking. Brit Hume looked embarrassed by the Luntz thing.

A common criticism of McCain seems to be that McCain raised issues but did not follow up to deliver the knock-out. How the heck does anyone expect him to do this in the format of that debate? He raised the issues like Ayers effectively.

I was stunned by the reaction. The only thing I can figure is that they had it in their minds that McCain has lost the election and had to do something extraordinary tonight. Merely winning was not enough for them. My won’t everyone be surprised when McCain wins, as he will.
