“Losers” is accurate on so many levels.

I fully intend to vote for the loser. Does that make me a winner?

“Or for running the opposite direction on the playing field.”

McCain knows what he’s doing.

McCain knows what he’s doing.

A lot of people are sure hoping you're right but but seem to be nurturing some ever growing nagging doubts after seeing his performance at the last Presidential debate and his various town hall meetings where he has been quoted praising his opponent and admonishing his "supporters" for wanting him to finally get serious and to quit trying to suck up to Obama.

Bull-Sh*t you put (sorry for my strong words), but you put a Conservative like Mike Pence, Tom Coburn, Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, heck even Fred on the Top and they would be WINNING agains OBAMA and handily becuase they would be principled, and would stand for it, the American people agree with us if we will just believe and “fight”..? Isn’t that what I hear here every day “Fight McCain, Fight” even though he does’t because he’s a Moderate and doesn’t believe in Conservatism..!

"...conservatives are motivated entirely by fear of Obama..."

Fear of the democrat presidential candidate has been the GOP's sole modus operandi for the last twenty years.

Yeah I understood that. I realized you had your tongue stuck in your left cheek. I was trying to say that many others really and truly hope that your quip would turn out to be true. My response was actually for those and not so much to you. LOL.

You too huh?! Personally as for as I'm concerned it isn't going to make much difference in the end. Maybe it might make a little difference in the near short term. The two candidates are not that far apart anyway on the issues of bringing socialism into the American mainstream . The biggest difference is the method used, IMHO

The end times spoke of in the Bible is still going to take place no matter who wins and and all is on track no matter what they say or do or what we do. To me this only shows that what is to be is well on its way to happening at an ever increasing pace. I am ready for it and will continue to wait patiently a little while longer.

President Obama will bring a heck of a backlash in 2010.

I voted for Fred.

What people pass off as Conservative these days. I swear, most folks have completely forgotten what the word means. For the last time (hopefully): Fred Thompson is *not* a Conservative.

He is a Bakerite "moderate" and comes from the same stock as McCain and Bush.

By definition, there were three Conservatives in the race this year: Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, and Alan Keyes. Anything else you may have voted for doesn't count as a Conservative vote.

No other Republican candidate would be leading Obama, given that the economy has suffered major blows late with the sharp fall of the stock market. 401 K’s are melting and Americans associate Bush with any Republican. That’s wrong of them, but they do it.

ANY Conservative would be leading 0bama by 10 points right now. Any Conservative would have been AGAINST the bailout, and the people would be behind him right now, with coattails reaching into the congress.

Any Conservative would be preaching supply-side fixes and market-based solutions rather than big-government and socialized banking- Wall street and Main street would be behind him right now.

Silly RINOs. Tricks are for Libs.

In my book, yes, because you are doing what is best for our country.

If people are going to vote for McCain for whatever reason, why sit around right now, at this point in the election, and jawbone against him? All they are doing is demoralizing the weak-minded and leading those who are uncertain about their vote astray.

I have said repeatedly that you can’t stimulate confidence.

That said, to say the bailout has been a failure when it hasn’t even been implemented yet is ridiculous.

Nothing you said did anything but elaborate, not refute, the point I was making. For whatever reasons, including those you spelled out, the credit crisis is not going to be unraveled overnight, and thinking it will is ignorant.

Hardly.

Are you going to vote for McCain or not? If so, what is the point of these detailed explorations of one’s emotional navel?

If not, then put your money where your mouth is and vote for Obama. And then we’ll talk about who was “suckered by the MSM.”

It seems that you are so eager to defend the bailout you don't even bother reading the posts.
