I have been thinking of the similarities between this old TV movie and what obama is attempting at this time. The movie left a very strong impression on me at the time. I highly recommend it to anyone that can find it. The end is chilling. I am literally getting goosebumps as I type this as I think of how I felt watching that ending and how the whole movie parallels what we are experiencing right now with Obama and his True Believers. Here is google on it: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22TV+MOVIE%22+%22THE+WAVE%22+1981

Yes, I am really trying to avoid invoking Godwin’s law.

I don’t know anybody whose symbol is a sphere. Maybe you mean a circle?

I remember watching this movie in high school!!!
It was really creepy but showed how people can get sucked into blindly following a cult like mentality without even knowing anything about it. I have only seen it the one time but it definitely left an impression on me. It is a very good parallel to what is happening today in this country.

It seems to have a strong impression on anyone who sees it, especially if they are aware of the history behind the Nazi movement.

I saw this in High School. Kinda has an “After School Special” feel to it, but still a good flick.

WOW! Very similar parallels indeed.
I actually had an Obama supporter on another forum I frequent, tell me “there has to be good reason everyone is following Obama, so just come join us, be one of us”. And she was *serious*
THEY are not thinking for themselves. Watching this movie, is exactly how she came across.
Just creepy.

Dead serious here: When I think of Obama supporters I think of the movie “Independence Day” and the people on top of the building “welcoming” the aliens.
They have no concept of the seriousness and risk associated with what they are doing. No clue whatsoever.

The freeper at work and I were talking about how hitler came to power, economy, and other things and told me to take a look at this movie...
Now, I had already (jokingly) persuaded people to wear blue shirts on Wednesdays and various colored shirts for each day of the week.
Then I watched the movie:)
When the girl said “everybody wear blue shirts” I almost messed myself!!!!!
