2) There is a racial component to criticism of the Community Reinvestment Act that can make it sound like you are scapegoating minorities for Wall Street's problems.

Big deal. Blacks have sold their souls to Obama and the Democratic party. There isn't anything he can do to get more black votes, so don't try. No more.

An honest analysis would also include the FACT that McCain cannot beat the MSM.

He is not starting a fight he cannot win.

It is an unfortunate fact of life for Republicans.

I'm waiting for my mail in ballot here. I'm not sure those of us in rural communities can afford new taxes. I'll be voting against them because we now have to pay for every one else's carelessness.

He could win if he ran as a conservative. Ronald Reagan had no problems going over the heads of the hostile MSM to get the American people on his side. McCain doesn't have that set of convictions and he still doesn't regard the MSM as the enemy enough to expose the truth about them and the Democrats to Americans.

I'm supporting Frank Holman for County Commissioner,

The democrat, Jerry Mallet is a convicted Poacher.

This bailout issue reminded me why I have despised John McCain for so long. As wonderful as Sarah is, I have now decided that I cannot vote for McCain. Sarah will be back in 2012, no matter what. I won’t vote for Obama, but McCain will only give me ulcers if he is in the WH. At least, if it is Obama doing the same things that McCain would do, I will not have voted to put him there, nor will my party be taking the blame.

I will vote down-ticket, but the GOP has nominated someone at the head of the ticket who is not worthy of the votes of conservatives.

Let's us make sure they walk the talk and not merely say one thing during an election and then do the exact opposite when they are in office.

I might do the same (I was for Fred) but I couldn’t live with what Obama will do to the country. I believe it will not be reversible. We will descend into socialism, people will get used to the government being in charge of everything, and we’ll never go back - people won’t have the guts to return to more personal responsibility. And then there is he question of how sympathetic Obama really is to people who want to destroy this country (”I will stand with the Muslims”). The changes Obama would make would be insurmountable. Therefore I will vote for McCain.

Yes. The USA doesn’t have the latitude to make foolish policy and economic mistakes that it had 50 or even 25 years ago and not pay the price. We need a smarter, more efficient executive and legislative branch, and McCain is showing how at sea he really is as far as understanding this in many ways. His established metier appears to be as a maverick within his own party but an appeaser to the opposition party.

F’ing McLame - the guy was forced upon us - He is pompous, elitist, washington insider and only marignally better than Obama. The best thing going for him is Palin - I will vote for him only because I hope that he will keel over and Palin will be the next POTUS.

As you know, we disagree on this subject.

I don’t believe Conservatives or Republicans can win against the MSM/DNC/Hollywood/Academia machine.

So most Conservatives/Republicans do not even try, lest they and their families, be destroyed for life.

Here’s a website with links to all the Republican movers and shakers:

THE CONSERVATIVE ACTIVIST’S
GIANT E-MAIL LINKS PAGE!
http://www.conservativeusa.org/megalink.htm

We need to light a fire under somebody!

And John McCain needs to wake the h*ll up and get out there and FIGHT.
What the h*ll is the matter with him?

McCain needs to forget ‘etiquette’ and ‘running a respectful’ campaign, as he put it.

If he doesn’t get off his duff and get out there and hit Obama every day, he’s handing the presidency over to Barack Hussein Obama.

Why is he not mentioning such things as Obama trying to turn Missouri into a police state? Obama trying to turn our children into ‘Hitler youth’?

Email Republican headquarters/McCain.
REMIND McCAIN THAT HE HAS AN OBLIGATION AS OUR CANDIDATE TO FIGHT BACK!

To h*ll with bipartisian BS!
To h*ll with PC!
To h*ll with ‘conducting a respectful campaign’as McCain has said, and vowed to do.

RESPECTFUL CAMPAIGNING WENT STRAIGHT OUT THE WINDWO WITH OBAMA’S NASTY, BRUTAL COMMENTS SUCH AS;
‘lipstick on a pig’ and ‘You can wrap AN OLD FISH in a piece of paper called change. It’s still going to stink after eight years.’

Take off the gloves, McCain!
Hit the Marxist/Muslim hard with Ayers, Acorn, Violation of Logan Act, abortion, 2nd admendment, Campaigning for Odinga!!

Remember there was a Jimmy Carter before Reagan, Obama before Sarah

You should take a hard look at the damage that was done to this country by Jimmy Carter, some of which has yet to be undone, before you advocate that approach.

It's rather like, "Slam your head against that wall for a few years! It will feel so good when you get to stop!"

These people just don’t realize the damage Hussein Obama could do like appointment of liberal judges, opening the flood gates to Muslim immigration, hordes of his Muslim, racist, America-hater associates getting into the government, more give away programs- stuff that could NEVER be undone.

In one significant way, I somewhat disagree with this article. McCain doesn't have to necessarily 'make an argument' if he thinks that's too complicated for him to handle. All he has to do is to put it out there regarding who is at fault for the subprime mess and who tried to fix it and was stymied by doing so. IOW, he needs to 'name names'.

I'm surprised that McCain doesn't understand that by holding back here, he is making *himself* suspect in potential voters' eyes regarding the subprime mortgage crash and corrupt bailout plan and seriously damaging his campaign claims to be a 'maverick' and a 'reformer'. And, thanks to the MSM sticking their partisan oar in, McCain is just coming out of this looking like 0bama Lite.

I shudder to think what an Obama/Pelosi/Reid axis would do to this country.

At least millions of Russians fought against Lenin.

Our communist revolution will occur without one shot being fired.
