On our DISH network..it’s 5680 Obama..yep..that’s how it’s listed on ours. I do believe the end is nearing.
On Michelle Malkin’s blog they all wondering why it’s not on channel 666.
I am really surprised that the CEO of Dish Network allowed this.
OTOH, stop freaking out people. Just because there is an 0 channel DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT. They are free to have it if they want to pay for it. Same w Fairness Doctrine. Just because an opposing view is presented doesn't mean you have to listen to it. Capisce?
I have no intention of watching that pile of garbage. However, I DO pay to have DishNetwork brought into my home and therefore, I’m exercising my right to cancel my service.
If Lord Barack Obama, The Most Merciful, wins in November, it'll be a required channel for everyone. All new TVs sold will be hard-wired to it.
Obama is probably paying for the channel. The privilege of having lots and lots of money.
I hope you all who have DISH will dump it. Make them pay for putting on a pacifist, socialist, infanticide-endorsing liberal.
That is it. I am disconnecting tomorrow. I’ve been looking for an excuse to change to DirectTV anyway. They carry Fox Business.
How disgusting...I’ll hold my nose while I watch the Senate debacle tonight.
I spent 45 minutes on the phone with dish. The first two people treated me with such disdain and ignorance that I thought I would jump through the phone. Finally the third person actually attempted to find out what was going on. Unfortunately he was unable to verify that the channel actually exists. He also mentioned that it could be a local channel and possibly dish picked up as part of the local package. I did not know this when I called but the FCC stopped licensing channel 73 in 1983. There are no legal broadcast stations using that frequency, it is used as a repeater frequency to rebroadcast weak signals.
I e-mailed FeedBack@customermail.dishnetwork.com the following:
An "All Obama All The Time" station suddenly appeared on my TV.
Why am I paying for this propaganda? I did not request it added to my programming.
Is Dish Network in the tank for this left-wing extremist?
When my subscription comes up for renewal, I will remember that part of my payment goes to support the far left liberal agenda.
Their response was:
Thank you for your email. Please know that effective Wednesday, October 1, 2008; DISH Network launched the OBAMA channel at no additional charge to customers.
This channel is available to customers subscribing to all packages broadcasted from the 110° orbital location. Also, this will be broadcasted though the conclusion of the elections. This is paid advertising by the Obama campaign and is not an endorsement of Senator Obama by DISH Network.
We thank you for allowing us to be of assistance to you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please refer to www.dishnetwork.com or reply to this email.
That works good. Doesn’t even appear in any guide. Sweet.
My biggest bitch is that this crap is stealing bandwidth from my DishHD channels.
Dang it. Now I have to block that channel too.
I plan to have a bottle of bubbly on ice and a bottle of scotch on the table. Depending on the way the evening goes. . .well you've got the picture.
If you do not punch all 3 digits to a channel in time or miss punch in numbers it defaults to the obama channel.
This is beyond just a paid ad.
Things that make you go hmmmm.
