So the Dems STARTED Fan/Fred, they controlled it entirely, they BLOCKED legislation to fix it, in hearing that REPUBLICANS called for years, they in their own words called the regulators RACISTS! Not to mention the documented Rose Garden statements, presser, radio addresses by the President on this subject.

And you cannot figure out how to explain this to people???????

"THE REPUBLICANS WERE IN CONTROL AND DID NOTHING! So what’s the excuse?"

I think your asking "Why didn't Bush and the Republicans do more to stop poor minorities from getting houses they couldn't afford?" Uhhhmmm. Yeah, that would have gone over well.

The MSM sucessfully labels Conservatives as evil haters of the poor, minorities, women, immigrants and non-Christians. We could point out how risky it was. We could try to tell the value of education, industriousness, initiative, and personal responsibility toward achieving the American dream. But actually passing a law making it harder for poor minorities to get houses they couldn't afford would've been political suicide. The MSM would have had a blood orgy as they ripped the Republicans to shreds for that.

I'm convinced at this point that the Democrats put the financial sector in this position on purpose. I leave it to the reader to imagine why they might have done that.

i think that they ought to go for both.
bush isn’t running again.
they are trying to say mccain=bush, which clearly john prefers “bi-partisan” mumbo more.
i don’t think that they should run away from him, but i do think that bush has not done well at fighting back, getting out the facts, the truth. i know that he is hindered by the MSM but i think that he could be more forceful.

he has a captive audience when he does a presidential address.
