That is what the actual situation is. That is not exactly what it would have looked like to a Martian (or Joe Q Public) tuning in.
My favorite though, was the time Gore came from across the stage and got in Dubya’s personal space and Dubya gave him that cowboy smirk and head nod and then just continued. That was classic.
Nope, I quit the crackpipe some weeks ago... Seriously, I was hoping for McCain to pounce tonight, and until the "3rd quarter" he didn't. He got a few good ones in, but he was not on top.
McCain did better if you understood and listened to what the issues were, but if you were already leaning towards Obamination, in the first hour he was answering questions like he knew what he was talking about. We detest him, so of course we are going to say he lost. Obamination did better than I thought he would. But liars are good at it, and he was believing himself.
That’s a great point — I’ve read a bunch of Ledeen’s articles but I need to read that book.
Yes, the Mullahocracy loves to kick us in the teeth any chance they get, and Obambi would be such an easy mark for them..... they would lead him along until he makes some public commitment for “dialogue” and then they will spit all over him and laugh about it.
Nope. I've been a loyal, heavily donating FReeper for nearly 10 years. I am voting for McCain. You don't use evidence very well.
I was truly hoping McCain would play so MANY things to his advantage, all the things we on FR and those on talk radio discuss DAILY. He missed a lot of opportunities and to me, it was cringeworthy. There are some ESSENTIAL differences between him and Obama, differences the general public NEEDS to know, and will never hear from the MSM, and he was lobbed a slow, easy ball but did not swing.
I do not disagree with any of your points. Mac will ALWAYS score on the humor scale because he has a great sense of humor, and Obama was born without any. McCain definitely always seems a little valium-calm in the debates and to his credit will NOT be ruffled. Obama’s self-consciousness is painfully acute, and he gets hopping mad fairly quickly when he feels insulted. He can dish it out, but that’s about it.
However, from about halfway through the debate until they got onto Bahkeestahn and Georgia, Obama looked like he was on Cloud 9. You could almost see him thinking, “Look at me! I’m winning! I’m on fire!” Seriously. He was in the Zone for a fair amount of time.
I think you are right. This was Obama at his absolute best. This was McCain at his fatigued and unpracticed. I see great things in store for the next debate.
But it’s ok, that dead soldier on 0bama’s bracelet will be voting for him in November!
Bingo. We need to get McCain a rest, some free time, and an agenda for his next debate. The agenda needs to be DEFINE OBAMA.

Obama isn’t used to losing. Obama didn’t attend the Academy, Obama never took orders that involved his life, Obama didn’t learn critical skills to defend his Country, Obama didn’t spend years as a POW in Vietnam. Obama has no knowledge of the world and says Biden will take care of that. The MSM is irrelevent at this point. Obama will need to go back to Chicago and explain to Daly he couldn’t do it.

Didn’t happen. He has finally figured out that he needs to ignore her, as hard as that might be for him (she has that effect on lots of people....but I digress).

Every time I see this it just cracks me up. Especially now after everything that followed.
