The person with this huge lipstick got Sarah to sign it for her.
My dad was nearby and managed to get Todd Palin to sign his hat.

Big deal, BHO drew 200,000 in BerlinNo he didn't.
Two Rock bands, free pizza, and free beer lured about 50,000 out to the Victory Column.
the media inflated the the numbers and reported it as 200,000, but it certainly was not.
You can't handle a crowd of three times the Super Bowl, (or the Olympic opening ceremonies if you like) with NO special parking, No special transportation, it's a logisitcal impossibility
How long did it take to get 70,000 into Invesco Field? - All Day, and with special road closures and extra policing.
And you want us to believe 200,000 just strolled down to the Victory Column and then quietly home afterwards?
The media is lying to you.
Also, the Victory column has space for about 17,500 - 20,000 immediately in front of the podium, the rest of the crowd is confined to three roads that spoke out from that circle, those roadsare 130 feet wide, how many miles would the crowd have to strech if it were really 200,000? Have you ever been to a rally and stood at the back of a two mile long queue and seen anything?
it's beyond ridiculous.

You can then apply a a divider of about 3 or 4 (square feet) per person, based on the perceived crowd density, to determine a good rough estimate of the crowd size. Density estimates can be tricky, though, and crowd densities are often not uniform. Area estimations can be a good starting point, though, certainly.

Density estimates can be tricky, though, and crowd densities are often not uniform I agree, but there are some minimums that cannot be breached reasonably. The average person is about two feet across the shoulders and requires about 10 -14 inches front to back and so requires a minimum of two square feet, even in a dense crowd.
If the Media are claiming 70,000 showed up in Portland, and the area is definitively measurable as under 50,000 square feet, you know they are lying.

We know Tonys watching all this with glee. Thanks for mentioning Tony Snow. I was thinking about him yesterday and wishing he was still here with us.

.
Obama and media multiply his rallies - and he uses warmup bands to get the crowds and then speaks
I’ve heard (not from media!) that many start leaving as Obama starts to read from the teleprompter
His speech yesterday on the markes, etc. was a joke - no plan, no content, just knocking McCain - and he stumbled constantly as he tried to read his script

Fantastic! Report .. report ! Were you also there? Unfortunately, no. I was going to take our dogs but decided not to at the last minute. Ended up being the correct decision!
My wife, dad and stepmom went. They got there about noon and parking was already gone. My wife also said that there were thousands of people already there and not nearly enough shuttle buses to cart them to the pavilion so she said they walked around two miles to get there.
She loved it but ended up getting a pretty bad sunburn on her feet (sandles). She said she could just not believe the number of people there, particularly young women!
Before the Palins arrived they did haul out at least one protester but other than that there were no others that she saw.
And it was my dad's NRA hat that Todd signed! :-)
