Friday morning, I tanked up across the street at 3.59. About five hours later, at the same station, it was 4.59. Really wish we had one of those 4 cent increases.

Lots of stations out of gas here in NC and those that have it are charging over $4 gallon with a few exceptions of $3.85 or more. Not looking good. Time to release some of the reserve? We are at $4.19 a gallon here in rural Eastern California. Lowest it has been all summer. Went up to nearly $5.00 a gallon just a month ago.

Didn’t Dow have refineries in Michigan?
It was silly to put all the refineries in the Gulf. As I recall, this was done for wage considerations. If the executives couldn’t see the down side, they do now.

I could be wrong, but this seems to be hitting the SE harder than other areas.

I’m sure it is. We are a very rural and isolated area, so we have Alaska type prices here.

$3.39 here in Maple Shade NJ (right across from Phila)

In middle TN, it went from $3.76 at noon to $3.95 at 5 pm. What is the definition of gouging again? Any price that I don't like.

$3.88 and $3.99 at a couple of places in northern Wisconsin where it will dip into the upper 40s during this Global Warming night. Thanks Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the Democratic Congress!
