I was cooking dinner and just caught the end of it on the news. It looked like it was on the Meramac River (which is far St. Louis County) - I’ll see if what I can learn about it.
A lot of industrial businesses in that area if it where the last break was. I can’t find anything on the local channels yet.
Well, if that town was “The Creek” I know that goofball.
Thank you for your advice. I will be taking it when I get back home tomorrow or Wed. morning.
I really appreciate the information, it means a lot.
Tired, and cranky, and wanting to go home :-)
RS
Thank you.
Just keep the postiive thoughts going, it's keeping me from running down the street screaming... wouldn't want to scare the natives, ya know. ;-)
LOL
I was just watching the live coverage on Channel 13- the reporter was at Gilcrest- he said it looks like Banda Aceh after the tsunami.
He counted the reminas of eight houses- a week ago there were over 200.
On the island they are telling them not to talk so as to give them time to notfy the families..but a national spotlight is needed.
Why ? Seems decent to notify next of kin first.
I just checked the Southeast Missourian website (we used to live in Cape Girardeau) and there are still 4,000 people without power. Ike is quite the storm! Keep me posted on what you find out about St. Louis.
That sounds very ominous.
I did get it and thank you. I am hit and miss with FR today cause cell service spotty. Just left Nacogdoches wal mart and stocked up. THank u for the info
Luckily, I’m using the roofer that roofed my house when it was new. But there are many scammers waiting to take your money if they can.
I am just not finding it... Maybe it was a false alarm?
We are really flooded right now in the area and many levee’s are already water soaked.
I am sure some of them will break over the days ahead as the water rises. Where I am at we are expecting a 14.5’ rise over flood stage. (or 24.5’ over normal day levels)
We are already slightly over flood stage and have had a 10’+ rise since Sunday morning. The other 14.5’ will come between now and Friday. So that will give you an idea of how bad it is here along the Mississippi River from Missouri and on down.
Note I am on the river but not low enough to be bothered by the flooding.
Time to go clean up my kitchen.
Unreal. I’m just shocked that stinker had that much giddy up and go left in him. He probably gained a lot of hot air when he passed over Sheila Jackson Lee’s house.
