I think that’s actually a 5.56/223. HK53 if I’m not mistaken.
Either way, a fine piece.
Palin has me voting for McCain as of today however, McCain keeps opening his mouth, trying to talk me out of it.
I have also been stocking up this year. Waiting for that Springfield M1A to come in.
Pray for patience. Pray for our country.
Trust me there are. There are people living in Washington and Chicago and states like MA, whose gun restriction is so much that you’ll want to cry just trying to get a permit. Also, there are people like me *grumble* who have to wait till were 21 till we can get a CCW (and 22 till we graduate and get a college campus). However, if Obama gets in he’ll have 9 months to get anti-gun legislature in by the time I can even considering getting it.
Make no mistake, Obama is a Marxist liar. He will oversee the strangulation of the gun industry even if he doesn’t confiscate your guns outright. Ammo and all components will be regulated until unobtainable. Stock up now or regret it later.
Automatic weapons are actually quite easy to own.
You need a background check by a local LEO, you need to send fingerprint cards to the FBI. You need to send the serial number of the weapon you’re purchasing and $200 to the NFA branch of the ATF, and six months to a year later you will receive a tax stamp, like the kind liquor stores and bars get, and you’ll then be able to get the weapon.
The tax stamp has to be with the weapon when you take it shooting, and if you travel with it you have to tell the AFT which states you’ll go to and when your arrival/departure dates are.
It’s actually quite easy though, there’s literally hundreds of thousands of full-auto weapons and many more silencers and short-barrel rifles in private hands.

The parts are H & K from a G-3, but it’s built in Utah and it’s all .308. Click on the photo above/
I guess my point was that they used the wrong photo. The photo is of an HK53. Notice the magazine - too small for a 308.
