I live in Twin Cities metro and it’s a very liberal metro area, but the outstate areas are very conservative as a whole.

So you “journalists” want to go to jail to protest the GOP?
1. Make sure you have some cash on you that can be deposited in your jail account, jail food is typically nasty. You’ll maybe eating jail food for a few days before you’ll have access to the canteen though.
2. Don’t let the population know you are there for being a political agitator, they’ll try to squeeze stuff out of you thinking that you actually have money. Make up something about domestic battery or public intoxication instead.
3. Prepare to be very, very, very bored with brief interludes of absolute terror.

Very true. I lived in the city and am now in the ex-urbs. It's a world of difference, especially if one has children.
there are conservatives here fighting the good fight just like any other place in this country. trust me those leftist dont stray to far from the cities, if they do they dont say $hit! in rural areas of the state they know they are not welcome! there are still many of us here clinging to our bible and guns.
alaska is farther north and they are mostly conservative, so i don’t think it has anything to do with that. LOL!

Saint Paul, MN Police Department raids a home at 591 Iglehart Avenue at gunpoint. The journalists include a contributing photojournalist with “Democracy Now”, whose host Amy Goodman appears in this clip jumping a fence to question police officers.
This is part of a series of police actions on the eve of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.
After several hours, all those detained were released. No arrests. No property was seized as result of the search warrant. The clip ends with an interview with homeowner Mike Whalen. At the start of the clip, a neighbor shouts to the media and onlookers that we could all come into her backyard to see the detained people held in the adjacent backyard.

Agreed. I like Mpls and all the fun things there are to do there but i’m 99.999% sure I’d not move to the city proper unless there were no other options.
